The bookcase is exactly what I was looking for. However, due to the fact that the bookcase is assembled in three sections, it is somewhat flimsy. Also, the directions are lacking in essential details - details that might make it easier to put the thing together.

I ordered a media bookcase from this company previously which meant I was familiar with the quality of the product. It arrived at the time indicated. When it came to putting the bottom shelf of the bookcase in place, which was necessary to balance it, unfortunately the holes were not aligned properly for me to screw it in. I reached an Atlantic rep who first questioned to make sure I used the correct shelf since some of them looked the same (valid question). After telling her I had the correct shelf, she took my information and sent me another one. The holes in the shelf she sent were aligned correctly and I was able to complete the project. Overall, I was pleased with the rep's interaction and the finished product. Note: (1) Atlantic's office is open Mon-Fri. (2) The company uses FedEx ground, which has an expected delivery time of 10 days. The shelf arrived in half the time.
I love the shelf! I had a black one that I had purchased a few years ago that I used for my DVDs and it got broken in the move! Anyway, I purchased this one to hold spices and stuff in my new kitchen since I don't have much cupboard space! It is very strong and I like how it looks and it was very easy to put together! I had purchased another shelf for my living room for my DVDs, but it was a waste of money, so I am going to buy 2 more of these to use in my living room for my DVDs!
II ordered two of these for the price of one which was a steel very easy to put together sturdy great size for CDs or DVDsI wish they had a been an oak color instead of a pine in color but other than that Im Happy
As you will see in the picture, I bought this "bookshelf" to house my craft stamp sets. It works great. I wish it were made of sturdier material (heavier). I would be willing to pay more for a more stable piece. Other than this, I love it.
I can’t say it doesn’t look nice because it does... but the instructions and the way you put it together the design seems flawed. I had to “Macgyver” it together. I wish you could just drill screws in the whole thing. When I move I’ll have to carry them and I’m not sure if they will stay together. It’s unfortunate cause they are nice
Okay unit overall. I didn't realize when I changed the color I would change the number of shelves as well. I bought two so my collection would have room to grow but there really isn't much space if I use all 6 adjustable shelves. All 6 adjustable shelves being used would be good for CDs only. Otherwise you only need 3 adjustable shelves for DVDs. The adjustable shelves wobble when place near the top but get steadier toward the bottom. Not sure if it was a personal assembly problem since I built two units or just the upper region isn't lined up right. Going to have to remove items with care or glue shelves to make them permanent for solid hold. Still a cleaner look than my 3 shelf bookcase which left too much room on the shelf width. Buyers be wary but its not a horrible unit overall.
in the photos that are shown it looks much bigger you cant even put real books in it!!!!!
I wanted this to work. I'm in a small apartment and the size of it was going to fit perfectly for media storage. It fell apart as it was being assembled. There are others out there with this design, but the combination of the material and the design are a recipe for disaster. Poorly engineered doesn't begin to cover the frustration this piece of junk will cause you to experience. After my problem I went down the rabbit hole of researching this one and the others like it. I found lots of accurate negative reviews. It only gets 1 star here because 0 isn't an option. Thank goodness Walmart accepted the return, but save yourself the trouble and don't buy. Hopefully they'll just stop selling it - it's junk.
