Only took 3 hours or so to install and it works great. Superb value and plenty of information on YouTube for installation tips!
I'm using this camera as a part time "bed camera" in my truck to help with hitching up my gooseneck trailer. So I wired a 12V plug to the camera so it could be powered without connecting to the lights, and attach it with velcro so it can be removed when not in use. The instructions were a little cryptic on the wiring connections. The diagram helped, but would have been better if it was in color. But it has a nice, clear picture and with the wired connection, no flickers or drop outs. With the large screen, it is easy to see the ball for the trailer and will really help with hitching.
Mounted this on an Isuzu 14' box truck. Mounted the camera at the top of the box so we can get a great view of what's behind it. Picked up more AV cable to extend it to the back of the truck. Works perfect.
This is a good product. It does exactly what I expected. As others have stated, the included instructions leave somewhat to be desired. But, as with so many things in this digital age, answers and solutions can be found on YouTube. But be sure to watch a variety of videos as some are more helpful than others. Installation is not difficult and, once installed, the product works well. I would advise you to take the time to adjust the camera as accurately as possible and make some test runs for accuracy. This will pay off in the long run. Overall, this is a good product at a reasonable price.
Works well (2nd Unit) first unit was "toast". Took in back to walmart and ordered a 2nd one. 2nd one works great.
Had the camera installed for 60 dollars and it is still a bargain . I also had it wired to remain on . It helps eliminate the blind spot. Large screen a plus
Instructions are almost nonexistent , I went to Pyle online got the correct wiring diagram. All went well after that. I bought this monitor because it had provisions for two inputs, and I wanted to add a camera to the back of my trailer.
Installed in travel trailer with manual on and off. Easy installation. Good price. Picture on monitor is a little grainy and low resolution but useable. Will also be able to see who is behind me and if I can change lanes. Game changer.
Works good but the instructions and website info are terrible. If you don't know how to hook things up get help or buy something with better instructions.
they put the word stop at the bottem of the screen and I cant see the ball for the hitch, also every thing is realy dark and cant see the trailer hitch.
