Everything about the Escort iXc is great. The radar range is very distant, and with the built it connection to the LIVE database, you actually receive notifications of possible police activity as much as ! MILE ahead! The mount is very secure (unlike the suction cup mounts on other devices) and is very easy to apply with the lever action on the base. Using the LIVE and M1 apps is easy, which is a good thing since you really can't unlock the value of the iXc without them. Connecting to the Wifi in my car was also easy and intuitive. All in all, a perfect bundle.
Received sooner than I expected. I have been using the 9500ix with a mirror mount so my power source was already where I wanted it. Magnetic windshield mount works great, easy to remove if necessary. Dash cam bundled with the ixc is great. extremely easy hook up. I am sure this new detector will serve me well as did my 9500ix.
The mobile app and the picture quality is very clear and easy to use. Still learning about all the features since receiving as a Christmas gift. Very excited!
I bought this about 2 days ago and wow! It’s crazy how accurate the radar detection is! I hit on a trooper extremely early! It was so early I thought it was a false alert. The M1 camera is very crisp and good quality! It’s a bit tricky how it connects to the windshield mount but manageable. The whole mount has to come off the window in order without disconnecting wires. That would be my one downside but it’s just an inconvenience. Highly recommended in NY!!
I recently purchased 2 of these to upgrade our protection and situational awareness for my wife and my cars. I really like the feature integrated solution for both the detector and dash cam. I direct wired them both. And the magnetic mount holds great and is also discrete and compact.
I purchased the bundle and could not be happier with it. It minimizes false alerts. I'm quite confident that the unit has already paid half of the price within the last week, it would have been a doozie!
This unit is awesome very well designed and has many customizable features that can be programmed easily with your cell phone through a app. The camera has a great picture and is easy to download videos. The live subscription is awesome to report upcoming radar to yourself and other users I highly recommend this detector you won’t be disappointed !
I love the looks my Escort iXc / M1 bundle. The display is phenomenal. With current situations the way they are is the reason I wanted the M1 Dash cam added. A real winning combination!
Have one in my company car and just had to have another one for my personal car. Nothing like that feeling your camera has your back with all the cray drivers out today.
So, this is the second detector and first dash cam from Escort that I have purchased. This IXc is absolutely the perfect match for any everyday driver. The M1 is a great dash cam with an awesome picture and a pretty good mic. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the IXc being a wifi enabled detector isn't compatible with the built in wifi in my truck. Let me explain. I have a 2019 Silverado LTZ Z71 with built in wifi. I called Escort after doing the update from Detecor Tools Pro, because it isn't showing the posted speed limit on the left side of the screen. I was told by tech support it is because I own a GM vehicle and they have been having problems with Escort products working properly with the built in wifi from that manufacturer. Had I known this, I probably wouldn't have bought a wifi enabled detector. I had the original IX and absolutely loved it, until it was accidentally broken. You can pick one of those up on Amazon for less than $300. So, hopefully Escort will read this review and put out a patch for these products to work with GM wifi networks.
