WONDERFUL PRODUCT

THIS PRODUCT WAS JUST WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. I HAVE A 6MONTH OLD WHO KEPT GETTING HIS FEET STUCK IN BETWEEN THE CRIB BARS. THIS PRODUCT PREVENTS THAT FROM HAPPENING. IT ALSO ENABLES YOU TO STILL SEE YOUR CHILD WHILE HE OR SHE SLEEPS BESIDE YOUR BED. THERE IS NO RISK FOR SUFFOCATION. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT THERE IS NO PLACE TO ATTACH A MOBILE. I CUT A SMALL HOLE IN THE MESH AREA CLOSE TO THE TOP AND THE MOBILE FITS FINE.

If you need to exchange your cute crib bumpers when your baby becomes a toddler this is the best alternative. Have a 3 year old that I used this for once he started lifting up the bumpers and currently have 1 year old twins. They were using the regular bumpers to "stand up" higher along the crib rail. Tried the ones from Babies R Us, they don't go all the way up the sides of the crib. Also, these bumpers protect the rails on the sides from teething toddlers. Definitely recommend using these.

I bought this after our daughter started standing up in the crib. We didn't want her using the standard bumper to climb out of her crib. Putting this on the crib was really easy, it took about 5 minutes. the velcro that goes across the long bars doesn't hold as well as I would like but it doesn't come off because the end pieces hold it on well.

Great alternative to bumper pads

This is a good item. The only problems I have had is that occasionally the Velcro comes loose and the side panel slides down. It does work great for keeping arms and legs out of rails. I have a very active son and this product was a blessing after he had gotten tangled up in traditional bumpers and arms and legs stuck in slats with out any bumper. I would recommend this product to anyone.

I like the ease of putting the Crib Shield in place, though the longer sides were a VERY tight fit which may be the slates in my crib. The only thing I don't like about it is the shorter sides don't have anything to hold them up at the top. My son has pushed them down several times already and I just put it on Saturday. But, for what I wanted, it's doing the job. The price is great for what you get. I definitely recommend this over regular bumper pads.

Purchased this to use at gradma's house on an older crib in case the slats were too far apart. Works well to keep hands (and pacifiers, etc.) from getting through. It was a bit tedious to put on with all the velcro, but it seems to fit securely and looks nice. Definitely recommend washing this item by itself because the velcro attaches to anything nearby. Also, had to make a small hole to attach mobile to crib, but should be easy to repair later. Overall, very happy with purchase.

only for cribs without solid headboards

this is a very good product if you do not have a crib with solid headboards. it just doesn't work. some other downfalls are that you can not use a mobile or crib toys and use this at the same time. it is probably better for an older baby(over 5 months), who is moving around more and doesn't need a mobile or for babies who can not have crib toys in thier crib because they are too stimulating. the velcro didn't stay closed either. I had to return mine. I purchased the crib shield bumper. But I had to buy 2 for my crib because of the solid headboards. I am using the 2 shorter pieces.

It covers the bars of the crib, but not where the ends meet the sides. So of course Jordan has his mouth on that part. Make sure you wash this before you use it, or else there's no point!

Liked it but could not use it.

I was excited about recieving this product. Then I became disappointed. I was unable to use the product because our crib is a convertible and has a rounded side. It does not allow for use on one side of the crib. Also, our crib seemed a little bit larger than what the crib shield accommodated. So, we had to return it.

Pretty good, but could be better

I got this product because my 6 month old was already pulling up in his crib and standing on the crib bumper. But he was also getting his legs and arms stuck in the slats without the bumper there, not to mention dropping his binky through the slats and screaming. So, I got this. It definitely helps with the legs and arms issue, however, the velcro could be stronger, he can pull hard enough and get some of the pieces undone, but not to where the whole things comes off or anything. The pieces that go on the short sides of the crib should fasten OVER the top rail somehow, like the side pieces, but they don't, so if he pulls hard enough, which he does to stand up, he slides those pieces right down. Again, not a huge deal, but annoying. Also, when you put the side down to change the sheet or just to put the side down, the velcro on the bottom comes undone. Also, there are no holes or places for you to reposition mobiles or anything. Now, maybe if my child is standing I am not supposed to have mobiles, but I just cut a slit and put mine back up, no problems yet. So, it is pretty good for the money, but a few modifications and it wold be perfect!! Oh, also, he can still get his binky through the open slats at the corners, but it is harder. Hope this helps.
