I rely on reviews of others (love the honesty of people on the web) so I read up on this blender and decided it would be worth a try. Bought it mainly for my husband to make ice cream drinks so he wouldn't have to drag out the big blender and then have to clean all the different parts. This little blender has been perfect for that. My 11yr old son is now taking over making the ice cream drinks it's so easy to use. Easy to clean, not only works well on ice cream drinks but it handles ice based drinks easily too, looks great, and compact enough to keep on the kitchen counter. I think the money spent on this item was well worth it!

I bought this personal blender to mix protein shakes with. I am in prep for stomach by--pass surgery and must drink 4 protein shakes a day. I can easily mix 2 at a time. This is a very handy little gadget and it is worth every penny spent on it. It will remain useful after surgery as well. I will have to eat very small amounts of food and probably still take the protein too. I am very satisfied with this product and gladly recommend it to others.

I use this daily for my mother's and my energy shakes in the mornings. It's easy to use, doesn't have multiple parts to be disassembled and reassembled or scrubbed clean. Just a quick wash and it's done and ready to reuse.

I love this blender. Crushes ice,and fruit makes a great smoothie. The blender is also small does t take up entire kithen counter. I am very pleased with this little powerful blender. Much better than my bulky blendtech.

Works very nicely, and motor appears to have more than enough power for thinks like chopping through ice. It is also easy to clean. I picked up the 2-year extended warranty, just in case.

I have had this for about a month, making fruit smoothies every single morning. It has never failed or been difficult, or made a mess. I have no complaints, it works better than I expected. The smoothies are perfectly blended with no chunks. Though I admit, it does take a little practice to get the right consistency every time. But I can wing it now to almost 100% perfection. I find that instead of using any ice, I just use frozen fruit up to the line (or a little over), and then milk or yogurt to the liquid line, plus a little honey = great smoothie. To save money I sometimes buy canned pineapple and peaches and freeze them on a tray. Bananas make the thickest smoothies and I will often throw in some frozen banana just for a thicker texture. I have also done ice + juice concentrate + filtered water for a slurpee type drink, which is great. I've done frozen coffee in cubes, then blended with milk & sugar for a frozen latte. The trick to not having any chunks is the ratio of liquid to frozen ingredients. If you have too little, the machine struggles and leaves chunks. You actually get a "more frozen" smoothie if you add the right amount of liquid, than if you try to skimp thinking it will be thicker if you don't. I highly recommend the machine- when I have overloaded it with frozen items, I have smelled the smoky smell people have described on here, but after adding appropriate liquids it zips right along with no electrical struggle. DO screw the top on tightly each time. It is strong enough to accept a really tight seal. No muss, no fuss that way.

This is our second Back To Basics blender we purchased. It's great and compact. We use this 2-3 times a day making our shakes with frozen fruits, veggies and juices. Easy to clean and you can take the jug with you on the go! Now my mother-in-law wants one so she can eat her veggies and fruits without chewing! This is the best little compact blender I have ever used!!

Hard to find extra cups.

I love this blender. I wish it wasn't so hard to find extra cups. I haven't been able to find them in the stores But I can find them on qvc. But its hard to find them in stock there as well. So I will be stocking up on them as soon as I can find them. I might just order another blender to get the extra cup and that way when the blender goes out I'll already have my back up with out waiting on it. I just really haven't made up my mind yet. I really think these blenders sould come with 2 cups not just one. The cups are to make this blender more convenient with less mess. Just blend and go but if you have more then one person and can't find a togo cup for everyone that kind of goes out the window. I haven't had any problems so far just go by the marks on the cup and its perfect. Just make sure that you buy the cups you might need with the blender or who knows when you are going to be able to get them.

I used this product a couple of times and really liked the way my smoothie turned out! I have smelled a burning type odor and hope there is nothing wrong with the motor. I am glad I purchased this one and not the bullet since this motor is bigger. I do place ice and frozen fruit in this with good results.
