I bought this for my apartment and with the water saving feature and dryer technology I'm saving money on water and electricity
I bought this appliance in November 2017, it was installed today. My old machine broke up, and started to leak in the floor, and in walls. When I purchased this model, sales clerk instructed me to buy DRIP PAN for this machine. I read later on other reviews that a spacemaker machine leaks. And there is a regulation to buy DRIP PANS for stucked models. The machine looks good, it fits in my Laundry room, space, which 24 X 24. Just right.I did not make photo of my model but I will do it and post it.I did my first laundry an drying. The cloth smells well. I am very glad that I got this model I only wish that GE would make metallic design or bright Red. I attach a space of my laundry room, where I was able to fit my GE machine.
We have our winter residence in a small home With just the two of us this compact unit is a perfect match for our needs The purchase was a easy decision seeing the GE were the manufactured
I bought this a week ago and really have enjoyed it
It fills up with water and then tries to start the wash cycle but isn't able to so then it stops. Then the washer is just full of water . I can change the setting to rinse and spin and it will do just that but the clothes are clearly not clean do to the agitator I believe would be the right term wont agitate ( basically the actual washing part does wash . I have taken it apart and it I noticed one of the belts ? ( I think it's a belt .. it's a black rubber part that attaches the inside of the washer to the outside of the washer .. there are 4 of them total and they hold the washer up and keep it at balance. So I think since of the 4 rubber belts broke there is only 3 now so it's un even and the washer senses it there for it dosent wash . ( I could be wrong but I believe that's what it is . How do I order another one of those rubber parts and what would the rubber part be called ? Do you think this sounds like it could even be the reason or the cause of the issue ? Please help me
Compact and nice looking. Is loud when doing wash load eventhough I have the door close...
I have only used this product once and the door latch made out of plastic broke
The lint catch for this unit is not well designed. It leaks a fair amount of lint into the vent on the door panel below so when you are removing your clothes some of the leaked lint gets on them. Additionally, when you remove the plastic lint catch grill to clean it lint goes everywhere- and the metal mesh catch sometimes just falls out since it doesn't snap into place. This is just bad design. At the very least GE should issue a rubber gasket that goes around the back of the metal mesh catch to prevent the considerable amount of lint leaked. Until GE issues a fix for this avoid purchasing this unit.
Purchased August 2015. Worked fine until last week. Central seal leak. Makes more sense to replace the whole unit than repair. Lasted just beyond warranty. Sad.
The last stackable unit we had lasted 10 years, so it's very disappointing we only got 2 1/2 years out of this. The GE repairman said the transmission failed and needed to be replaced. The cost of parts and labor were far too expensive. We are moving on GE, best of luck.
