Even when I haven't tried the product yet because I am purchasing it for emergency use, I know that this food is excellent by word of mouth of friends that have tried them. What I would like to compliment on is Sam's price on the Augason food and the free delivery service that you offer. I get notified when the shipment comes out and given an expected delivery date which is always met by your company. Thank you Sam's, keep up the good work and AAA customer service.
This is the second Augason 30 day "bucket" I've purchased. I tried some of the foods from the 1st bucket, and my family was very happy with the taste and variety. Add in the water filter and the fire starter, and the product's value is increased. I have tried other products from other vendors, but I wasn't impressed. I will make other purchases from Augason Farms in the future.
I just recently purchased this food and I was so excited I opened it just to cook some of the food and taste it. The food taste delicious I am in the process of purchasing another one. The only thing I did not like was the FedEx people deliver the product to the wrong house and I had to have them to find the product.
This is one of those items that are difficult to use. I bought it for an emergency situation and it is sealed in a 6 gallon bucket. It appears to be just what I ordered. If things get bad and I survive the incident, I will be glad to give a more thorough review.
We bought a smaller size last year, tried several items and were satisfied so we purchased this larger supply to have on hand for any unexpected needs.
I recently received 3 Emergency Food Pail and I am very pleased with the compact packaging and variety of meals. I work for a facility that requires that we have an emergency food store for every client and staff member within the facility. I don't know why we did not think of this sooner. We had been wasting money every 12-18 months replacing all the food ($200.-$300 worth). That is no longer a problem. We supplement with canned vegetables, cookware, and sanitary items - that's it. This product has saved us money, time, energy, and loads of space.
We are excited to have an emergency food supply. We have only opened 1 bucket and discovered the cheese packet on top had a slice in it so the cheese powder had spilled out. We are afraid to unpack the rest of the bucket to check the other packets because we know we will never get it all back in. Hopefully the rest in in tack.
Just received my bucket & I can't believe the timing do to receive it do to the hurricane. I have not been able to check inside of it due to some much excitement.
We bought one pail just to see how it tastes. We discovered there really isn't any actual meat in it, just broth and fat. Be careful mixing up the milk powder, if you do it in a shaker, stop every few shakes and release the pressure, otherwise it will explode. We found the food quite edible, filling, and bland. The milk was almost indistinguishable from fresh milk. The rest of the meals were greatly improved with a few spices and some actual meat & vegetables. In an emergency the food is OK, but better if you could supplement with some fresh food.
I can't speak to the quality or taste of the food as I never opened the bucket. It arrived severely dented, and I was hesitant to open it because of other reviews describing punctured food packages inside the bucket. I'm planning on sending this back. What disappoints me is that the bucket didn't get damaged during transit. The box it came in had no damage. That means they intentionally put this misshapen lump into a box and shipped it to me.
