Product came in a timely manner! It has great reviews on the emergency food ratings. The price was great!
I've been buying a few of these for an emergency. I figured I'd better try the selections out to make sure everyone would eat it should we need to use it. The food tasted good, everyone gave the thumbs up . The stuff lasts for 20 years or so, why wouldn't you have a few 'just in case' ?
This is one of those things you buy with the hope of never having to use. I can not rate the quality of this product as I have not opened the pail to try the food. The shelf life is dependent upon the pail remaining sealed. I am dependent, therefore upon the manufacturer's assertion that the pail contains 12 days of consumable food for one person.
Item was arrived sooner than expected. I am please with the contents. Overall I am satisfied.
We bought two of these and tried one to see if it was something that we would like. I have to say that I am really impressed at how delicious and satisfying it is. The beef flavored meat substitute really tastes like the real thing. You can't beat the price either. We don't have to worry anymore like a few years ago when we lost power for two weeks. There is an included meal plan that makes it even more simple. I recommend this item for either an emergency or even as a day to day meal source.
We are not big time Preppers such as seen on TV but do have the satisfaction of maintaining a good supply of shelf stable foods in case of an emergency. Whether it be due to a storm or an economic crisis the Augason Farms 12-Day Emergency Food Pail helps to give a feeling of preparedness. Ordering was very easy, arrived quicker than advertised and packaging was sturdy. Since this has not been opened, could rate at only 4 stars and give a 4 on the expectations, but the price is a Great Value! When compared to ordering directly from Augason Farms you save S&H, not to mention the price is lower! You can always count on Walmart.com for a fantastic deal! Definitely will order again.
I can't give a 5 star review because I haven't tried the product. It is stored away for a 'rainy day'. The price and shipping was great is why I rated it at 4 star. I love the last question on the survey, "How often do you use this product?" I said never, cause I hope to never need it.
Great all around bucket for emergencies, camping, evacuations. Great price at Wal mart, cheaper than buying from Augason direct.
I was so excited to find this bucket and when I read the label that said 38 individual pouches I thought awesome finally emergency food in portions for ONE. NOT TRUE, I opened the bucket there were 21 pouches for a family of 4. They need to update their pictures or I was sent the wrong bucket. So I went and bought mountain house individual pouches and paid alot more to get what I needed. They dont seem to make emergency food buckets for ONE.
Was going to order two but after reading reviews of people opening the container and not finding individual servings of foods I ordered one and was glad I did. Upon receiving I opened and alot of the packages had holes in them (although dated recently) allowing product to spill into bucket. There were 4 one gallon mylar bags with product ( one of which had a hole) and the rest were in quart bags ( one empty and some with holes) and not as strong as you could buy from the regular store. Am in the process of dividing them up and putting them into my short term food storage using a seal-a-meal and oxy obsorbers but will buy another brand for 25 year storage that I can cache away from home after I check it.
