It has sucked up all debris in its path. I read reviews beforehand and I read to run the engine while I vacuum.....I do. It has a long cord to reach to all of my trunk space (I have flip-down seat to access trunk). I got a gray one, not the jazzy orange one (pictured above). Also, the bag I got with mine is a fishnet with a drawstring. Other than the cheaper storage bag, I am happy with my B&D vacuum.
Accessories and carrying case a big plus. Nice to be able to use it in a car lighter/outlet instead of household plug. Decent strength for my vac needs.

This vac has more suction than I thought it was going to have. It comes with attachments I was not expecting. Very good vac at keeping my car clean.
YOU SUCK SO GOOOODDD! I am in love with the way this car vacuum works! The parts are amazing and I didn't have to redo any part I already did. I was able to get into creases, dirt and dust; GONE. Wish I took a before and after. Not needed because I love the way it made "Keith"(my car's name) and I feel! This will definately help me save money at the car wash!
First off I couldn't evaluate the durability of the vacuum because I've only used it once. I have actually owned an Oreck 12 volt vacuum that had better suction but not enough to be a game changer. When I first started using it without the hose and attachments it was ok with sand and dirt but not with dog hair which is what I needed it for. I connected the hose and brush attachment and it did a much better job. In fact I was pretty much pleased with the performance. The bristles on the brush are somewhat like a whisk broom so if you brush with it like a whiskbroom it pops the dog hair loose and they vacuum up rather easily. When I say this I'm talking about heavily matted dog hair. I did have one scare, when I was about 80 percent done the vacuum stopped. I changed cigar lighter to no avail. I thought it might be a blown fuse but then I remember reading somewhere that some vacuums require the car to be running. I started the car and the vacuum started right up and seemed to have a stronger suction. Having the hose extension really makes the job easier then any other hand held vacuum I've used and I've been using them for a very long time. Now if it turns out to be durable I would then give it a 5 star rating keeping in mind it is a 12 volt system not a shop vac.
The suction for this product works better when the car is running. The vacuum worked well for picking up dead grass (brought in by shoes) and food crumbs in my car. I like the fact that it comes with attachments that allow you to vacuum hard to reach areas.
Okay to be honest, it has an okay suction. I used it once on my car that really need the floors clean. The vacuum did a 80% job, but a 30% when it comes to using the attachable hose and with accessories, that's when the suction is less. Finally i had to use duct tape to pick the rest of the dirt. Personally from grade poor fair good excellent, i give it alright. Anyway i like it for a good job it did. I hope Dirt devil comes out with a high suction power car vacuum.
The picture on the item when I purchased was in a nice compact canvas storage squared edges, what I received was in a flimsy net bag, does not store very good. Should have been advised of any changes. I think I received all the accessories , received promptly
