I read the reviews prior to purchase. I was impressed with everyones comments. This was a surprise for my husband for Christmas and he loved it. We have a house in the country with wooden floors and it happened to be very cool when we were there; the stove not only LOOKed lovely with the fire but gave off much warmth for our living room. What a beautiful sight with the stove, Christmas tree and other decorations. Just like a Currier and Ives Christmas. Wonderful product; we're planning on buying another for our bedroom.
This is my second heater and they are great for taking the chill from a room. I have a 28'x16' living rooom and using just one at a time, either up front or by the road window, they are kept warm, not hot. My electric bill only went up $4.55 for one month.
I bought this a year ago for 129.00 so its gone up quite a bit in a year. Not sure I'd buy it if I saw it at that price but sure would if I KNEW what I know about it! The "flame" really LOOKS like flame and the remote is soooooo cool to operate from bed! It is a little small and looks kind of silly standing alone as a faux pellet stove but when I set it in the firebox of a larger cannister type faux fireplace as if it was an "insert pellet stove" WOW! VERY COOL look! It heats up the room great! I have to use the remote some time during the night and turn it off and just before I get up in the a.m. I just "remote" it on! I keep my house at 58 degrees so this is heavenly and didn't add much at all to my bill with several hours use every night for three or so months!
I bought this heater to use this winter, so that my gas bill will not be so much. We have had a few cold mornings and turned it on and it has worked wonderful, I had to turn it off because it got to hot in here. And also when we just want to look at it, it's like having your own little fireplace without having all the clean up. I LOVE IT> When I bought it online and went to walmart to pick it up they carried it to my car and when I got home it was all put together NO ASSEMBLY AT ALL> that was GREAT> I have not had it that long but so far I love it....I think the price was right and it's smaller than I thought but it's really beautiful. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to save on their gas bill this winter...
This item has added a warm glow and cozy feeling to my home. The flames do not look as fake as one might imagine, and the unit itself is attractive looking. It doubles as a space heater and does an excellent job. In my living room, which is 14 x 16 feet, it takes approximately 20 minutes to bring the room temperature up and activate the automatic temperature control on the unit. The warmth is at least equal to a fire in a fireplace, with no logs to carry in, no ashes to haul out and is environmentally friendly because no trees have to be cut for fuel. I highly recommend this unit for those seeking the warmth and ambiance of a wood-burning stove or fireplace, without the hassle.
I purchased this stove as a gift for my daughter. She really liked the look of the stoves without the gel inserts or wood frames. Her place is small and anything bigger would have taken up too much room. I looked at many models. I choose this one for several reasons. The price was right, it had a remote control, and it had an adjustable heat setting. Best of all you can use it in the summer for just the flame effect without the heat on. We turned it on christmas night and it ran very quietly and soon the room was warm and toasty. I stopped by her house the next evening and there she was cuddled up on the couch with her fireplace running, looking warm and content. It is her little getaway when the kids are in bed and she wants time to herself. She can turn it on to be warm without running the house thermosat and running up her electric bill. You need to review the instructions for proper setup but they're easy.
It is doing what we thought it would and are very pleased. The only thing was in the shipping. The box was pretty beat up but the unit was ok. We are thankful to have it just in time for this weather. I did want to order another for a family member but they were out of stock. We use it on a small porch and more then ample for heat.
I have been using the flame only so far, because it hasn't been thatcold yet. I did did turn on heat once though to see how it worked. The blower is on bottom so the "stove" part doesn't get hot at all. I have the flame on at night while I'm watching tv and it is so relaxing. It gives the same warm and cozy feeling as having a fireplace....without the mess! I'm happy to have it.
I like this product and the fact that it has a remote control bu something in my house turns it on without me ever touching the remote. I think the cordless phones interfer with it.
The appearance is exactly as photo, very nice and authentic looking. Size is great for usage from room to room and has easy movability. Not disappointed in any way.
