I wanted something for our backyard fire pit and this was exactly what I was looking for. Inexpensive and works like a charm! We even brought it on vacation with us to the lake and our friends were amazed at how well it worked and how much I paid for it. I even bought one for my father-in-law and he loves it too! I wish these were available in stores instead of just online!
works well in our fire place, seems sturdy enough to last, especially for the price, very reasonable
I had one of these for 5 years before it broke at the handle. But even with that; I would and still bought another one to use for my wood stove. You can stand back and fill the stove and not worry about getting burnt. I even bought one for a friend that was using a metal rod to push the logs into the wood stove.
Great tool!!! Easy to use and very durable. It appears to also be painted with a high temp paint to resist flaking off. Best tool to move and place logs right where you need them to get maximum heat and flame from your pit. The rubber grip was loose, however, and can come off. This can be fixed I would think without too much trouble.
Very helpful when tending a camp fire. I panited the metal tube section White so it is easy to spot at night. No trip fall hazard around the camp fire..
This log grabber works great and lifts all size logs from an inch to eight inches in diameter. A must have if you have a lot of fires during the season.

Logs for our smoker must be placed several feet from side opening so longer tongs are required to save fire builder from extreme heat or flames inside the opening. The tongs should keep the fire builder a safe distance from flames so hair doesn't catch on fire. Looks like a great product.
Would have been nice to have a light spring on the handle to keep the claw opened until the handle was depressed.
It came in a timely manner, however the box was greatly damaged. Luckily the fire poker is durable! It does not spring open and the grip operates similar to a pair of scissors.
