I absolutely love the fireplace! Really added a nice touch to my living room. The real flame gel crackles like a real fire. Very easy to put together. I've read that the decorative screen doesn't come with it, but it actually came with mine! (Too bad I thought I was being smart by buying the screen ahead of time elsewhere...) I also felt the cost was very reasonable as well as the shipping. You can use up to 3 gel fuel cans at one time...I have tested it out with 1, 2 and 3. I think 2 is perfect although 3 seemed to give off some heat, but the downfall was the odor...so I would suggest sticking to 1 or 2. I've uploaded a picture..
I really do enjoy my fireplace, especially in my apartment! Great color and mess. Very easy to put together, takes about 30 mins with two people. Really puts out heat with three cans. Most of the time I use two cans. Produces about an 8 inch flame with all the fire crackling sounds that a real one makes. Looks awesome with a flat screen on it and seems very safe so far. I just wish the walmart would sell the fire gel cans. The cheapest place that I found them was at sam's club. Oh and guys the fire gel cans are only sold online, no matter where you buy them cause of hazmat. Well worth the price and the ambiance is more than I imagine.
I love the fireplace. It was easy to assemble and took about an hour. It gives off a nice amount of heat, without being overwhelming. One drawback: It is next to impossible to find the cans of Real Fire Gel Fuel. No stores, not even WalMart carries it in store and it really is a pain to have to order it and wait up to two weeks for the order to come in. If Wamart is selling this product, they need to carry the Gel Fuel to make it convenient for the customers to walk in to WalMart and purchase it. Since I can't even find this online through WalMart, I have to look elsewhere to purchase it.
I just recieved my fireplace. It is everything I thought it would be. It has a beautiful rich color. The only dissapointment I have is that the screen is not included..It looks pretty fake without one I think. I also wish that walmart.com would sell the accessories it would make things a hassle free. The overall look of the piece is perfect and just what i was looking for.
Ok looks good, but the can is not setting in a good place to receive that real flame look. Con of this product --- the gel fuel is not sold in stores the only way to buy this is through shipping. I can only feel the heat when standing close, so if you need to really heat an area do not buy the gel fuel fireplace.
