I got these Ear Muffs for mostly to drown out outside noise's. Street, traffic, loud talking people ( adults and children alike ), children yelling and screaming, playing on loud plastic rides and the likes. Music, bands, foot ball games, fans etc. Live in walking distants of a major university. Moving isn't an option for me, plus air traffic from time to time. So I got these thinking it would block out the noise and it does. I sleep in them and it's wonderful, I can sleep thur the night! But the problem with them, they're too tight! I don't have a large head and the ear muffs shouldn't be hurting me, but they do and it's because they're too tight. Adjusting them is the key, but they could be of lighter weight and if there's another type of ear muffs that is, I'm looking for them! Ear plugs works well too, but they make my ears itch, I use anti itch cream before inserting them, it helps to stop the itching and the plugs goes in easier. I run loud fans to drown out the noise when I'm not using ear muffs or ear plugs. I got room darking drapes/panels that also claims to reduce the noise, it doesn't! It only darkens the room! So, I gave the meets expectations a rating of GOOD, because if they were excellent they wouldn't be so tight as to hurt. Yes, I've very sensitive to different levels of sound, I can't help it!
I got these because they have a higher rating for sound suppression than most other muffs even higher than the very expensive ones. They fit well and are comfortable to wear for a long time at the range. They even fit my grandchildren who are 9 & 10. You can't beat them for the price.
These ear muffs do exactly what they were designed to do and the price is right! My husband uses them while at the shooting range. He comments, "They're a bit tight but I think that's why they are so effective". I would definitely purchase these again.
I bought these for the NRR 31 rating and the low price. I use them together with earplugs at the gun range, and they work great. A little tight, but they adjust in height and fold compactly enough to store in my gun bag. I highly recommend them.
I bought these for my grandson and he gave me a "thumbs up." His dad purchased him a 410 - 22 combination rifle (also from Wal-Mart). This is his first "real" gun so he is ecstatic. The ear muffs are just a plus!!!
Bought these for my husband and he loves them. Said they fit nicely to the head, are comfortable, and he likes how they compact for storage. Very pleased! And of course he loves the camo!!!!
I bought headphones to block out sounds/noise from my child's environment. They seem comfortable to him and he will grab them in a minute. It was a great buy for the money. I researched and researched for the right pair that would block out the maximum amount of noise and I am happy with these
These do the trick. They actually had a cheaper list price elsewhere but with Walmart site to store free ship the final price was best here.
Great earmuffs for the price, sound deadening is excellent. I am not sure how well they will hold up under frequent use though.
These ear muffs have a high Noise Reduction Rating of 31db, which seems to be higher than normal and this is good! They fit smaller heads best. They fold up into a very small package but they are a little difficult to unfold into the working position. I'd buy them again!
