This is a great little kit to supplement your GPS. It is great because it has a soft case that the GPS unit goes into then it has the other case that has room for any cords, instructions, etc. The only draw back I have about the case is that is does not have a shoulder strap, although it does have handles. But overall I love this case, screen protector, and the mounts that came with it. A must have for your GPS unit
This kit was a free choice for buying the GPS system. It's very helpful for storing the Garmin GPS system when not in use.
This is my second purchase of the Portable GPS Starter Kit, item # GPS-600. The first was last year for my first GPS unit. When I got my new GPS, I went back to Wal-Mart to get another one, but found out that they no longer carry them in the store but are available online. This is a very good add-on for a GPS. Large enough bag for a wide screen unit plus all accy's and also comes with a combo stylus-pen for the touch-screen. Also has screen protectors and a dual lighter socket adapter included. Good Product!
Recently purchased a bare-bones GPS and this was the perfect fill for protection and accessories. The microfiber bag that protects the GPS from scratches and blemishes is great. Then you have the overall carrying bag with handles and two compartments. Nice and sturdy with a fair amount of room in the main pouch. The GPS screen pen and normal pen combo is a great touch. I have rather large fingers and the screen pen makes it easier to navigate. The screen adhesive covers are ho-hum but better than nothing. The dual power outlet was also a nice touch. I have 3 main devices that eventually require charging and this was a big plus. Overall, this is a great deal.
The iteems are verry usefull. The plug-in addaptor does not stay tight in the socket. Other wise the kit is verry nice.
This add-on was a good value because it was free with the purchase of the Garmin 200. As a separate item, the extra parts would not be worth the selling price, as the 200 comes ready to go right out of the box. A fitted carry case would be a better value, and most newer vehicles already have more than one socket for powering devices.
I normally would not have bought this sight unseen, but since it came with the Garmin, I thought why not? It is worth it for the case and the splitter, however, the contents seem cheap, and not worth paying the full price. As the GPS I bought is a Christmas gift, I thought this would be a nice add-on, and I believe that it is.
The bag was fair and the adapter would come in handy if you only had one 12 volt outlet in you auto and you needed more than one. Other than that there is nothing special about this product.
I just bought a GPS unit and everything in the box for the GPS was very useful. I especially liked the dual cigarette charger thing.
You can totally live without all these products and they all seemed "cheap" to me. Everything we needed was inside the actually box that the GPS came in.
