[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have missed having a dish washer! My last Whirlpool had a broken door and I couldn't open or close the door anymore. After a few years of hand washing so many dishes I was tired of the whole thing! I bought my new dishwasher last week and I love it. Thank you Whirlpool!
I love it, it was a good choice. It performs better than I expected. And with the rinse aid, there are no water spots on anything. It cleanse the dishes and pots to a shine. no need to wash the dishes first, just scrape off the excess food, and put it in, the dish washer does the rest. I would give it 10 stars if it went that high. I have had it since Aug.23rd Less than 2 weeks. I love it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was one of those things I hemmed and hawwd over, for way too long. I downsized into an older bungalow with the original kitchen cupboards. Which of course meant I would have to remodel the whole kitchen just to have a built-in dishwasher. I thought about the 18inch portable, but the price is the same as a 24inch which makes zero sense. What ultimately sold me on this model was the fact that it has a six foot electrical cord! That's what I needed for this to work for me. Other models, brands, only had 4ft cords and would not work. I thought they were all that way! So I bought it!! And I am so happy with it. I have ran it 4 times now, and each time has been a breeze to hook up. It really fits perfect. I thought it would be too large for my kitchen. Happy happy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After receiving 2 dented and inferior GE dishwashers I refused to get another GE. Quite happy with my Whirlpool. Have one at other house. It is 17 years old and working good. Great dishwashers.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are a retired couple who view devices from an engineers and a home makers perspectives. She expects the various dishes, pans and silverware to fit in easily; the washer to turn simply; And everything to be clean and dry when the washer is done. She points out that it is not as easy to load the Whirlpool as our replaced washer; Dishes are clean but still wet; The washer operates nice and quiet. He has to push the loaded washer to the sink and back; hookup the hose and power;; determine what buttons to push. He has no problem with the easy movements; The hose and power are easy to deploy and store; The buttons are too low, poorly marked and operate differently while they appear the same. I spent most of my work in engineering and also writing working instruction , articles and other how-to-do-its. I always found someone who knew little to proof read. Whirlpool let the experts produce this without respecting the consumers lessor knowledge.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this portable washer so it could later be converted to a built-in install, so choices in the marketplace were few. Replaced a very similar portable (Maytag Performa, 20 years old) and results are just as good as the old dishwasher. Only issues are the soap dispenser catching on the top rack if closing the door with the rack partially out and positioning of the silverware caddy, it would be more convenient across the front of the bottom rack as opposed to where it is on the side.
We needed a portable dishwasher for our lake house and there is not much to chose from. Wanted stainless steel and they are nowhere to be found. This one has 3 choices for washing, 1 hour and no dry, over 2 hours and dry and a really long one, 4 hours or something like that. Had to settle for black because I don't wash dishes and not enough wash options so that is why 3 stars. Also it doesn't seem to dry the dishes that good. Definitely empty the bottom first when done washing, if you do top first any water left on dishes will spill onto bottom clean ones. It does and okay job so yes I would recommend it if your not a perfectionist.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for 1000 and it does not even drain all the dirty water out during the cycle. Need to set up repair already. Cheap materials as well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had high hopes when I bought this dishwasher. Sadly this dishwasher is so cheaply made that the door will not close properly. I contacted them, they sent out a repair person who was told there was nothing to fix. I contacted customer care and they also told me too bad. They won't fix it or replace it because it runs and doesn't leak. I'm sorry but I paid nearly a grand for this dishwasher and it's not even straight. Seriously, if you purchased a brand new car but had to push the door sideways to shut it would you be happy? That exactly what Whirlpool expects me to do. There's a gap on one side if the door and it rubs the other side and it's going to fail but Whirlpool doesn't care. The customer care rep today kept asking if i measured my cabinets. I bought a portable dishwasher. What do my cabinets have to do with a portable dishwasher?! Never will I purchase another Whirlpool product.
I am COMPLETELY disappointed in my purchase and warranty with Whirlpool. I have owned this dishwasher for less than 1 year & already it's broken and can't be used. We do not even use the dishwasher daily so it is not an issue of heavy use. The problem seems to be with the sump & motor assembly and is relatively common and known based on other people's comments online. When I called to schedule service through the warranty the earliest available was in 20 days. This is simply unacceptable. The operator said it was unique to my area because other areas had same day or next day availability. I live quite close to two cities so I can't understand why Whirlpool does not have more contracts with repair companies nearby. It will be much faster for us to either pay out of pocket for another appliance repair company (which Whirlpool says they will not reimburse) or to order the part and attempt to repair ourselves. Meanwhile, I have received 3 letters about signing up for an extended warranty. I will NOT be giving Whirlpool more money NOR trusting that their warranty is of any use whatsoever. What a worthless appliance and company. Also, as someone else noted, the racks began to rust some time ago.
