I can't believe more people don't know about these! Everyone gets a "sound monitor" why not get so much more!!!! I love the fact that this kind of technology is available to me as a mother. Not only is this product amazing but this was my first time doing the site to store and WOW how fast and easy was that! I looked at this same product at Babies R us and it was 150.00 here..125.00!!! I don't know about you but when I am buying all these things for our new baby 25.00 is a BIG savings!!! We love Walmart and we love this product!!! Couldn't be happier!!!!
I bought this unit to monitor my elderly mother. I moved my mom into our home from a nursing home after she was put on hospice. Her bedroom is in our beautiful basement and our bedroom is on the 2nd floor directly above hers (this means there is a floor between us). The monitor works perfectly. I am able to hear her soft breathing all night long, which is a comfort to me. If I forget to turn the monitor off when I take her out of bed the movement sensor sets off the alarm. I know that it is working properly. She sleeps in an adjustable hospital bed. We attached a 1/4" thick piece of plywood to the springs under the mattress with zip ties and placed the monitor between the plywood and mattress. Works like a charm and has given me peace of mind.
I may be an overly cautious parent. I use a breathable bumper, my daughter didn't get a blanket until she was 6 months old, and I use the AngelCare-Deluxe Movement Sensor with Sound monitor. But I have slept with more security than I could have ever imagined after the birth of my first child (when she lets me sleep of course). I love that when we travel I can just take the monitors with us and leave the sensor pad in place in her crib. The wire from the sensor pad does not impose a hazard to my child's safety. I am already thinking ahead to when my daughter will transition to her toddler bed. The sensor pad will notify me if she falls out of bed or if she decides to be adventurous and leaves bed for exploration on her own. I don't feel as if I had to settle by not getting a video monitor. As I see it, a sleeping baby looks the same as a baby who is not breathing. The movement sensor can identify the faintest breathing movement from your baby. Yes we have had some false alarms, but that was because my child had herself pinned in the corner of the crib where the sensor pad couldn't detect her. I am happy that I was notified and I positioned her properly in her crib. I love it so much that I recommend this to EVERYONE that is expecting a child! I also purchased this monitor for my best friend as she just gave birth to her first child. And I plan to buy a 2nd one for my next child.
I got this as a shower gift. I love love love the sensor pad. It picks up any movement, or lack of movement. Once I forgot to turn the monitor off before lifting my daughter and the alarm sounded soon after. This is a huge relief for me, especially since I'm one of those SIDS-paranoid moms. I have complete ease of mind with this. It'll also sound if she rolls off the pad at night or tries escaping her crib as a toddler. The monitor shows the temperature of the baby's room, so I always know if it gets too cold or too warm. Also, you can choose to monitor sound, movement or both. My daughter's crib is currently in my room, so I turn it to monitor movement only, since I can hear her cry without it. Setup is pretty simple. You will need a piece of plywood under the baby's mattress. Overall, the most amazing monitor on the market.
I highly recommend this product! To me there are no such things as false alarms!! When the sensor goes off it is doing its job!! Bringing attention to your baby!! Is your baby in distress? Or just wiggled his way off the mat? Either way what peace of mind there is knowing you have this option. We have suggested this product to everyone we know!! It is intended to make sure your child is not in distress. This is one of the best investments that we have done. I have purchased two. One for my daughters home and one for mine! Being an associate I have even pushed for these to be available in all stores. We cannot do enough with our children or grandchildren to ensure that are safe. If your a mommie or a Nana, let me tell you. This purchase is more than necessary, it is peace of mind. This item needs to be put on every Gift registry of any soon to be Mommie!! Think about it......we buy all kinds of cute, funny and just gotta have things for our babies. Why would you not purchase an item that may someday save their life!! Cannot say enough positive comments over this product!! I hope to soon see it carried in every Wal-mart store!! The product is worth every penny!!

We originally had the Sony baby monitors, which were HORRIBLE! I couldn't move without the monitors being "out of range". We got so sick of them we had to get new ones. After reading tons of reviews, we chose these because all the reviews were amazing and we liked the added movement sensor. These are by far the best baby monitors we've ever owned! I recommend these for ANYONE! They are super easy to set up, and I have NEVER had them "out of range", even going ACROSS the street to a neighbors to drop something off. I love knowing that I can be anywhere in my house and not have to worry about the range. We live in a two story home so having 2 parent units works best for us. One upstairs and one downstairs. The movement sensor really works as well. We have the sensitivity set in the middle and have never had a problem with it going off for the wrong reason, although, sometimes our little one wedges herself far away from the pad in the middle of the mattress and is too far for it to pick up her breathing. I didn't like the idea of video that anyone could break into, so these are the next best thing! They may be a bit on the expensive side, but you are definitely getting your money worth! I highly recommend this product!
I purchased this from Walmart, it was $25.00 less expensive than at Baby's R Us. The double monitors enable the new parents to place one in the baby's room while they are downstairs, putting their minds at each because they can hear whatever is happening in the baby's room. I have purchased this product before and it is very user friendly and a good product.
As a first time mom, who knew someone who lost a baby to sids, this was that best monitor I found that allowed me to have peace of mind and sleep better at night. However, at around 7 months, when my little boy started cruising his crib at night, we were getting at least 2 or 3 false alarms per night even after turning the sensitivity up the whole way and putting a piece of wood between the springs and the pad. So I called Angelcare and they asked all the normal questions, then I was asked if I have a Serta mattress, yes. They told me that they have found that a majority of people who call regarding false alarms have a Serta mattress. SO if you bought a Serta for your crib make sure you get the dual pads, if you already have a monitor you can purchase just the dual pads by calling Angelcare. I love this monitor and I have and will continue to suggest it to everyone I know having a baby.
The only problem I had with this is you can't use the monitor without having the sensor pad hooked up to it. And the bassinet we have you cant put the sensor pad in it. So if our child was sleeping in the bassinet upstairs there is no way to use just the monitor to listen for him.
