I love my smart case for my iPad 2. It provides great protection to my iPad and I really enjoy the sleep/wake feature that takes place when I open and close the case! I would defiently recommend this to anyone with an iPad!
I bought this to protect my tablet & make it easier to view, rather than having it laying flat. My tablet is more convenient to use now! Good purchase.
I was expecting a bit more sturdy stand, although it is okay. BUT considering the price of covers and stands I am now looking for, it's not a bad one to start out with
I had another case for my iPad, but it was leather and very heavy and bulky. This made it unable to be carried in my handbag. The Apple case is light and thin yet protects the iPad well. It also automatically shuts the iPad off when it's closed. I highly recommend this case for anyone with an iPad. And the choice of colors is GREAT!
Pros: 1) You have your pick on how to prop your iPad with this: slightly tilted upward (horizontal view) for easy reading, slightly tilted back from perpendicular (horizontal view) for watching video, or straight up and down for vertical view. 2) It automatically puts the iPad in sleep mode when the cover is closed, but the audio continues to work. The actual Off button is still accessible, if that's what you want. 3) The magnetism of the lowest "bar" holds your stylus handy, and keeps them together when not in use. 4) The back of the iPad is protected from scratches with this model, and the front part doesn't get nudged off unexpectedly as is possible with the other model. Cons: 1) I can't fit the splitter for my Sennheiser cordless headphones through the cover and into the iPad - the splitter is too bulky. (It works great without the cover.) Other splitters that would work are hard to find, but I'll keep looking. 2) This cover is price-y. Still worth it, though...
My husband wanted this to replace a different brand case that he had for a year. He says that this one is so much lighter, easier to handle, and actually turns his iPad off when the lid closes (all problems with the off-brand that he had before). Just wished that there were more colors (only 3 to choose from).
I was using the IHome case previously in grey, I own the Beats headphones in red & white and decided to purchased the smart case in red as well - looks great 2gether loving my new gadgets. Thank you.
I appreciate that this case comes with a front and back cover. It protects my whole iPad. My only wish is that the front and back covers weren't connected. Overall a good product.
I really like this case! I have had it for about 2 weeks. I have gotten a lot of comments about the way it looks and the feel.... The only down fall I would have to say is that it is a little flimsy. But other than that its a great case..... Very small and slim!
This is a good case. It protects the front screen and has a wonderful sleep/wake feature. It also protects the back of the case which is great (we all know the backs of iPhones, iPads, and iPods are extremely prone to scratching) while being soft and flexible. For protection of the iPad I would give it 5 stars. However there are a few flaws in my opinion. There are very limited viewing options with this case. You can only view the iPad in "landscape" and at only 2 angles. I would much prefer a case that has multiple viewing angles and is able to stand in "portrait". For viewing options I would give this 2 stars. Another flaw I've found in my opinion is the functionality of the case opening. The top part lays almost flush with the bottom so I found it hard to open the case. If you have fingernails that's not a problem. But for acrylic nails or larger fingers its a bit more difficult. I feel like the process of opening the case would wear on the outer edge after a while. Overall it's a nice case, but expensive and the functionality needs work. It might be perfect for someone else but it just wasn't or me.
