Easy install, very nice looking. Fan on high is a little loud but it is on high so should be expected. Cools 4 rooms cery nice and cant beat the price. Free shipping to door, i didnt have to lug it home lol
Always buy the protection plan with any window ac because a lot can go wrong in 3 yrs. Thhis Artic King 10k BTU ac for $204 was an absolute steal. If installed correctly with the proper pitch, it runs quieter than my Emerson Quiet Kool 8k BTU unit. Iâm not saying its better or worse than the Emerson, both have their advantages. This is a great ac even for $279-289. It blows strong and cold. My only complaint would be in its thermostat and ability to recognize rooms temperature. There is another model that has an upgraded remote to help w that issue. I was concerned about the quality when i first ordered this unit after reading reviews and why I always buy protection plan w equipment like this, but after recieving and running this unit hard for the last 7 weeks... I would honestly recommend it to anyone on abudget. You could get a lemon with any brand, send it back. Best advise, take your time installing it and use a level to find the ever so slight drop coming out the window. This is what will determine how wellyour unit runs how quiet or loud the unit is and most likely how long it will last. Instalation means everything with window unit acâs
. Very pleased with this Window A.C. Ordered online. Picked up at store. There was no damage at all. Remote works all the way from our kitchen. Cools our home in very short time. Not very loud and we have it in our living room. Have recommended this to family and friends. It comes with 2 adjustable side panels and fits perfect in our 30" wide window seal. The filter will tilt out from the face. It rinses clean with soap and water. It's super cool and easy to keep clean. No flux with the electric pull.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well, had an old unit go out and just put this one in. Was simple to install, minimal expertise needed. Unit is really compact as you can see in the picture but it cools like a larger unit which is nice. The internet capabilities make it really convenient and gives extra flexibility especially in the Texas heat! Hasn't been running for long so can't comment on longevity just yet but so far, so good (and quiet)
So far so good. The wifi app for controlling it with your phone works good once you get it set up. It takes a while to get it to set up, you just have to keep trying different setting till it works. Took me about a hour and I'm a pretty tech savvy person. It does cool well and while it isn't super quite it probably a little quieter then several GE units I've used in the past. Overall great value for the money.
i was actually surprised by the size of this Unit. Most 10,000 BTU ACs are LARGE. I already knew that my widow was large enough, so I didn't pay much attention to the Cabinet size. I was Shocked to see how SMALL it was. One of the things I was concerned about was that another person said that it was 'noisy'. It doesn't put off any more noise than any other window AC. I am happy with my Purchase.
This is does it job but since ot has wide openings in the back! I kept having issues with a spider crawling out of it! I am Terrified of spiders so we had to move it out of the room and buy filters so no bugs would crawl into the AC or inside my house. I love how i can turn my AC with the app before i come home from work!
So far, cooling is good and there is more open area in vents than I had before. Seems to blow in all directions like I need. But the digital control panel is SO small and hard to read I have to get up and get right in front of the unit to see what I'm setting it on. All I can see without getting up close WITH GLASSES is the temp. I'll have to figure out my favorite setting and mark them with red nail polish so I don't have to read the tiny print on the unit itself. Need to get my booklet out again to see if I can make better sense of all the options on there. The remote control is also too small. Attached it to table with Velcro so it won't get lost. My last one had a magnetic back and was easier to keep track of. And my last one had slightly raised buttons and you could operate it by touch. This remote is totally flat. Unit is also louder than what I had before. Be sure to check the limited warranty!
Just Purchase a few days now, well satisfied. wi-fi set-up was easy as 123, can control from anywhere.
Our Wal-Mart store used to keep on-line purchase deliveries somewhere in the back of the store. Now there is a new "locker" system in which giant gym like lockers are at the front of the store. Top of box was complete open, tape broken. There were UPS labels on the box. There was NO visible damage to the outside of the box and I still should have listened to that inner voice that said "don't accept it". The WM associate said "that's normal, the tape likely broke with the box being twisted". I took it home. the lower right hand corner had that metal housing of the air conditioner bent in the corner, pulling outward, and the plastic front frame was broken in several places. It was 97 degrees with a heat index of 105. We installed in anyway. It ran, cooled well, but 4 hours later, the compressor started howling every time it was ON. Can't say for sure if this was damaged by UPS or by such a large box being crammed into a tiny small locker and possibly dropped at the store level. Either way, it was of no use to us. I DO suspect that had it not been damaged, it would have cooled great. I would buy another but ONLY from the store, NOT online when shipping is involved.
