At first I was unhappy. y 12v drill wasn't strong enough and it burnt out. I bought an 18v and it worked like a dream. Don't expect to drill large holes for post holes. Worked great for the holes I needed.
Works great and easy to use.
Used 19.2 amp cordless drill with this. Worked like a charm. I just put in 10 one gallon plants in the time it would have taken me to plant one using shovel/spade.
very quick at digging hole
It is a very good product and I am very happy with this purchase.
I have a raised bed in my garden. The top foot of soil I put in and the rototiller can handle that. Below that is a different story! I knew if my grapes or fruit trees were going to do good their roots would have to grow deep. This product busted thru the clay easily.
This auger works very well--just wish it came with another extension. I was able to use this product in a mixing drill and loosen up the rocks, lime, and hard ground to allow me to dig the hole with a post hole digger. I dug a 36" hole approx 12" diameter in no time.
This was a gift for my sister in law. She had to make a few adjustments didn't say what that was. But I'm not happy she had to do adjustments for a gift.
This is a well made product and priced right. But, it hasn't worked for us at all as depicted in TV advertising. It might be that since we've had a dry summer the earth is just too hard to drill into. However, the result we have experienced is that while it drills into the ground OK it doesn't remove the loosened earth from the hole created. This means you still have to get down & dirty to place the plant or bulb in the hole AFTER using a garden spade to actually vacate the hole. That's a lot of up and down; too much for me. After this dismal failure I'd just as soon get on my hands and knees and dig with the spade and do the planting the old fashioned way.
The product details, what are all included in it and the details of how it works would have been more helpful.
