I truly am enjoying this speakerphone. The ease of use and the convenience of an answering machine is wonderful. I am a two time cancer survivor, so unfortunately I have days when the weather will not allow me to attend my meetings on Sunday, and I can connect by telephone conference and don't have to hold the phone while listening. You can change the volume level while listening, talking and even place calls on mute and come back. This phone really went beyond my needs price wise and value. Plan on ordering one for my vacation home.
...My previous AT&T model. This latest purchase was an upgrade based on the reviews that the speaker function was more than satisfactory. My previous AT&T phone was a simpler, basic phone similar to this one in the color black, which somehow showed up dings more easily; sort of a cheap look after a short while. I didn't appreciate the ugly greenish color backlighting of the display screen making it difficult to view nor the poor quality speaker functionality. I'm SO, SO PLEASED with this upgraded purchase in the speaker quality, display screen clarity & backlit color, and the overall appearance. Worth every extra dollar I paid for this one!
Our old AT&T answering system "died", even though we still use the phone. I needed one that both my husband and I could see easily because of vision problems. This system has large numbers and the message screen is easy to read. I keep the directions handy so I can check just what to do in regard to the Caller ID mode, how to adjust the rings, and how to leave a different announcement. One neat benefit is the ability to access our calls when traveling. We like having telephone numbers displayed - which readily lets us know if it is someone we want to talk to.
Everything works as advertised. Took less than 10 minutes to set up including recording my outgoing message, etc. Someone mentioned in their review that there was no "orange" back lighting on the display but there is on mine. It doesn't stay lit all the time, only when in use and the AC adapter has to be plugged in. I've had other speaker phones and found that the volume adjustment for the speaker didn't work well or wasn't loud enough. Not on this phone, volume adjustment works great and it's very loud if you need that sort of volume. Great phone/answering machine and easy to use!
I'm a 75 year old woman that remains very active, and independent. I needed a phone with large numbers, and a speaker. The AT&T big button speaker phone with answering system was all that I was looking for, and more. I'm able to use the phone without the aid of reading glasses. And I can chose to screen all calls if I like, using the built in answering service. The best feature about this phone is how simple it is to use. And I don't have to worry about a lot of fancy stuff, that I don't use or understand. I use every feature, and love it. Thank you AT&T, and Walmart for providing something for everyone to be able to use. A very happy customer
with its big buttons and backlit feature this phone is a must have if you need a home telephone The ringer is loud and all of the data is easy to read with the Caller I.D. An Answering Machine/ voice mail feature is included as is a speaker phone. I chose this item after checking several different phones similar to this one. Was originally seeking a phone that came in black but for the price and all of the bonuses offered with it it did not bother me that it was white. It is an AT & T product and I am quite pleased with it.
I got this to hang on my wall which it does very well. The phone receiver attaches good and doesn't want to fall off. I like having a corded phone that doesn't get lost in the couch cushions. I always know where the phone is....hanging on the wall. Answering machine works good. All the buttons are easy to see. Everything makes sense.
One of them work the other one didn't work properly. We thought it was the wiring but a phone Company found the phone to be faulty. The other one works great.
Bought for my mom who getting on in years needs a liitle help with hearing and seeing. While thi sphone is not really meant for those with serious impairment this phone for the price does what it advertises for those just starting down that path. Flashes when incoiming call, adjustable volume control- simply to use answer machine. Buttons big and easy to use. Instructions simply to understand and apply. Good value/product for the price- feels the need right now!
Was a little disappointed. I had ordered on line with store pick-up. When I arrived to pick up the telephone, the box had been taped. When I got home, the box did not contain the booklet explaining how to use the various functions so I had to go on line and read instructions.
