I haven't used these 11x13 bags yet. But, all of the other sizes of Avid Armor I have used have been great! You get alot of bags for the money and they are very tough and durable.
Just got my Avid vacuum Chamber with the 11x13 bags. Went hunting and was able to vacuum seal all of my venison in no time at all. There is no words to describe this chamber and bags but “Awesome”. I was able to make Venison pate’ and freeze them and when I needed them just open the bags pop it in the microwave and it was fresh as ever. I was able to package the venison and freeze them for my son who lives in Minessota. Very pleased with my purchase.
The 11x13 pouch is perfect size for the food that I seal using my chamber sealer. The pouches are great quality. Ive not had one fail yet. Avid Armer has a great selection of other other size pouches as well. I have purchased some as well and all have fine, no issues at all. Also fast shipping.
This is the size we will use the most of. There is an exhausting amount of suppliers you could get bags from but I like the peace of mind of getting them from the manufacturer of my machine. Also i consider them to be a good value.
The best method for filling bags is to fold the top open back over upon itself so that food placed in the bag does not contaminate the area where the seal ultimately must take place. These large bags make that process easy, and are, of course, absolutely necessary for large or multiple cuts. I purchases these for forthcoming sous vide of porchettas that will be finished by roasting. The thickness is great, and I’m very pleased by their clarity.
I am super happy with these vacuum pouches. They are high quality, reasonably priced and make it so much easier than having to make bags. I also like how they have a tear notch so you can open them without needing scissors. I plan to buy more in different sizes.
These bags work great. I have been vacuum sealing leftovers and all kinds of things since the cost is less than pretty much any other container. The "only" thing that could be improved is offering some thicker bags for those times when you want the extra protection.
The bags make the Avid Armor system so much more economical than any of the FoodSaver systems. Pennies per bag versus any of the other required FS systems. Love our new Avid Armor chamber vac.
What can I say? Great bags, puncture resistant, no odor. Cheaper than the rolls we used to buy for our old sealer. Very happy with this purchase. This size will fit a whole chicken (on the small side anyway, or large flank steak or about 3 lbs of cherries.
Perfect size for larger items, great quality, highly recommended, would buy again!
