Does great for re-sealing preserve jars !
Very good quality. I am buying another set.
Bought this to vac seal some tall jars I have. A quart jar won't fit, but it works great to save veggies and fruits longer. Strawberries lasted much longer.
haven't been able to use them yet I haven't so I can't read them I'll give it a three and a half right now thank you.
Works great with my food saver machine.
I like these in theory. 4 stars simply because it does work to reseal a small jar. I am able to put a recycled jar in and vacuum seal that jar, which was my reason for buying it. But a couple things - if this is your purpose too, the biggest canister will not hold a quart size mason jar, or any jar that tall. I wish it was taller because there's a lot of recycled jars I'd like to use but cannot seal. Secondly, the 2 smaller canisters are pointless for this use. I guess if you wanted to store leftovers in the frig they would work, but for sealing jars, they are pointless. I would like to just buy one single large canister that was a few inches taller than this one is but so far have not found that for sale.
Only tried a few jars. Knew before I purchased it would not fit quart sized mason jars, but it does vacuum some of the jars I wanted to re-use. Will be using to seal jars for food that has only been dehydrated. Seems like it will work!
You can NOT seal a standard quart jar in the largest canister. The container is not tall enough. They seal well with smaller jars, though.
The sizes are ok but i have had a lot of problems getting them to hold a vacuum. I have used my Foodsaver vacuum machine. Tried the vac hose that came with the canisters and tried the hose that came with the Foodsaver. Sometimes it hold sometimes it lets air get in within a few minutes
Does not stay sealed
