I don't agree with the cruelty of factory farming, but I need protein in my diet. This “meat” is close enough to beef that I can enjoy the taste and I'm not contributing to the abuse of animals.
Honestly this stuff is really good! our house started reducing beef and pork for health issues, we gave and now we don't buy ground beef anymore because of it! this stuff works really well if you season it really well! for tacos we use chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, cumin! Great stuff! (don't use oil in your non stick skillet for it, it causes it to stick really bad) Picture is sweet potato taco boats for healthier carbs!
Great value and great taste! Soy-free and does not turn gray as Impossible does. Close enough to beef to recreate beloved recipes, yet far enough not to gross me out.
Want to save water? You could not shower for a month, or you could simply replace 1 (you read that right, ONE) single cow burger with a veggie or meat alternative burger like this one. Seriously. It saves the same amount of water. That's just one of many positive environmental impacts. This is such an easy and tasty substitute for any recipe that calls for ground-up cow! I love it in tacos, casseroles, stir fries, burgers, cabbage rolls, and so much more. It takes very well to any seasoning I've tried with it. I'd highly recommend it :)
There are so many delicious dishes that can be made with this (my favorites are tacos and "meat" sauce)! I don't miss meat at all since I found plant-based alternatives. Better for my digestion, better for animals, and better for the planet!
I have been vegan 13 years and this my first try of fake meat it taste just like a hamburger I am so impressed wow!!!!
Honest opinion from a Hispanic carnivore: I was curious to see if this could be a healthy substitute of ground beef and to be honest it was kinda dumb to think that. I tried to make tacos with it thinking that the spices were gonna make it taste like beef or something at least good to eat in tacos( I had tried ground turkey before).The taste is bad and kinda weird, not disgusting but it is not good. I did not give it a bad review because my opinion is biased since I am not vegetarian.
we love Impossible products, but unfortunately, they might not be the healthiest substitution for meat. Although we don't care for other Beyond products (except the brats), we thought we'd try this "new and improved" version of Beyond. much like the other versions, it's immediately off-putting due to smell and appearance. for us, there's no way this doesn't immediately summon thoughts of cat food. unfortunately, it doesn't change colors when cooked and either, meaning this off red color is what ends up on the table. poorly developed product for that reason alone. there's a delightful popcorn-like smell while it's cooking. That's one of the few good things that can be said. The taste is odd, the look is odd, the whole experience is odd. with impossible, it's almost a 1:1 substitution for meat. with this, it's not even close. something else entirely. is it good? you can decide for yourself, but it's not something we'd go out of the way to get again. sticking with the real meats until these vegans give us something worthwhile.
Never buying again. I've had this one other time and I recall it being alright a few years ago. This time I've got really b ad food poisoning. Awful stomach cramps. Going on day 4. Besides that, the smell is awful, smells like cat food. Even my taco seasoning didn't mask the taste of it. 0/0
This review is not about the product because in spite of it always showing in stock I have never received it in my delivery or pick up order. I went inside just to check and wow it was there in the freezer across from bread. Get it together folks.
