Detailed product description

BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM Delivering excellent off-road traction and surprising comfort on the pavement. Designed for pickup and sport utility vehicle drivers searching for race-proven, off-road performance, the Mud-Terrain T/A KM is BFGoodrich's Off-Road Maximum Traction light truck radial tire. Not only is it designed to deliver aggressive good looks, but it also provides off-road traction and steering control on slick surfaces and in deep dirt/mud. It features an advanced tread compound that is molded into a symmetric tread pattern. The tread pattern is composed of large interlocking center tread blocks and alternating width "DiggerLugz" that extend over the tire's shoulders to provide the ability to dig down deep, as well as work against the sides of muddy ruts for added pulling capability. The Mud-Terrain T/A KM has computer-optimized, high-void tread design that creates less noise than BFG's original Radial Mud-Terrain T/A. It also provides a larger and more rectangular footprint to add enhanced climbing and slick surface traction. The interior structure has dual steel belts on top of BFGoodrich's TriGard construction creating strength and durability. Single strand beads enhance the tire's fit to the wheel to increase uniformity and ride quality. Rim protectors are also molded into the lower sidewall helping protect the tire and wheel from off-road hazards, especially during times when the tire is aired down.

One of the 10 most influential off-road products. BFGoodrich's TriGard Construction BFGoodrich's Off-Road Maximum Traction Computer-Optimized and High-Void Tread Design Standard Warranty For information on tire installation, click here.

Excellent Tires but Beware to Rotate

Excellent tire. If you want these tires to last keep the pressure where the vehicle Mfg recomends it. You also have to rotate these tires every 3000-4000 miles to get good service life out of them. Wait 9000 miles to rotate them and you will have some worn tires.

Fantastic Tires!!

These tires came on my 2011 Jeep Rubicon Extended when i bought it. I rotate them when i change the oil witch is at 3,000 miles and check the air pressure in between. I have 69,000 on them with about 5/32 left on them. Just order new ones because i always get new tires when i have 5/32 left. Also the jeep gets towed behind my motor home and that does not seem to make a difference on these tires. They are very quite, have been getting 17.4 miles per gallon highway city combined and 21.2 on the highway. If the next set of tires do as well I will buy another set as i will keep my jeep forever.

Being a commercial landscaper , this tire allows me to access undeveloped properties without fear of becoming stuck . These tire's load range gives me security when the truck is fully loaded or when towing a fully loaded trailer. The stopping traction is excellent under load and I find the B F Goodrich T/A Mud Terrain to be a superior tire which has an outstanding warranty . I have been using B F Goodrich tires on my personal and commercial with no failures to date .

Best Off-Road Tire!

As a pick-up truck driver and lover, and not a huge fan of the 'minivan-like' little stock tires that most trucks come with, when it was time to get new tires I opted for a beefier, oversized off-road tire to amp up my pick-up's four-wheel drive capabilities, plus to add height and muscle to it. I am also a horse owner and hunter, so I needed tires that had great traction and could carry the extra weight of gear and a horse trailer. I highly recommend the Mud-Terrain T/A KM tire over any other off-road tire on the market! If you own a truck or SUV and want performance with a meaty look, go with these tires! Some downsides: no traction in rain because of the huge treads, and they are noisy at high speeds...and they mess up odometer readings if you go the oversized route (I have the 285/75 on my truck, where the factory advises 265/55) and have a slight negative impact on gas mileage (minute enough for me not to worry), but overall a wonderful tire that lasts well beyond its mileage and warranty! Bought mine in 2007, and it's 2013 and only now getting time to replace them! A++

Great Tire On and Off-road

Stock on my 2016 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. I rotate all 5 tires around every oil change and I'm now at 55,000 miles. I'll be getting a new set within the next 5k miles. These tires aren't loud like some say. I'm astonished at how quite they are. I mostly ride with my Bestop Trektop NX soft top installed and I still don't notice the tire sound; just the wind. These tires are great off and on the road. When I bought my jeep I was in Arizona, so I drove on many desert trails, low mountain trails, and most all of the Jeep trails in Sedona; all on these tires. These tires pulled me up rocks, through mud, and over snow covered mountain trails with ease. I'm now back in Florida, so rain is an almost daily occurrence and these tires channel water very well on the highways. My jeep is also my daily driver, so I'm on these tires daily. I pull a boat with my jeep on these tires (3700 pounds; boat and trailer). Stopping isn't an issue. One last thing to add: this tire is extremely tough and puncture resistance compared to other tires I've had. I can't remember a set if tires I've had in the past that didn't require me to plug at some point. I've not had to plug any of my mud-terrains in the 55k miles I've owned them. I'm very happy with my set of BF Goodrich Mud-Terrains and I'll be getting another set very soon.

Excellent Tire

These tires came stock on my 2014 JK Rubicon. I have 52k miles on them and another 15k of tread to go. I have done a 5 tire rotation every 5k miles. Anything beyond the 5k then I begin to get uneven edge wear and a noticeable roughness. After rotation they smooth back out. I'm waiting for them to wear out so I can justify getting a larger set of KM2.

FUN TIRES!!!!

I bought a 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sport w/ S-package. Had good-years on them. I hated them. BFG Mud-Terrain T/A KM and bought a set of 5. I haven't looked back since. I LOVE them!!! I have put these tires though there paces from mud and rock too rain, ice, and snow!!! Blizzard of 2016 had nothing on me. lol. I also did a lot of road trips including a trip from New Jersey to Boston. Trip to Jim Thorpe PA. 5 or 6 trips down to Millsboro DE; and a few off-road outing in the pine barrens. The biggest trip I did with these tires was: 1400miles. But you have to rotate these tires every 2500-3500 miles to keep them riding right. I would tell anyone with a Jeep that you should own at least one set; there is no better feeling knowing that your tires are going to perform as well or even better then your might have thought especially driving off-road. Enjoy your vehicle, Enjoy your Tires, Drive with BFG!!!

Great in Mud, stink in snow

Stock on Jeep Wrangler Willys. the description says good for "light" snow. Well maybe 1/2" but anything over than not so good. No siping for wet roads, spinning tires all the time, and yes light foot take offs. Had to replace them with non M/Ts. Really stunk because I liked them.

Great for off road, bad tread life

Reviewed in the USA on 2013-11-05T16:00:00

These tires have treated me well in their short life span. They offer great traction off road. I haven't had any issues in the snow. As should be expected they are not that great on ice. A little loud at higher speeds. I have had them on my 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon since I bought it new. Unfortunately after a little over 3.5 years and just over 38K miles it is time to replace them due to wear. I would imagine they would have lasted a little longer if they were rotated more often but 38K miles is pretty poor in my opinion. I would rate these tires somewhere between average and good due to the poor tread wear. I have marked the rating as good due to the fact that the poor wear may be due to them not being rotated as often as they should have been. If the tread life was longer I would rate them between very good and excellent.

Worst Tires Ever!

These tires came standard on my 2015 Jeep Wrangler. After only a few thousand miles these tires were cupping so bad you would have thought they had 30 thousand miles on them. Having a soft top Jeep, these tires sound like a WWII airplane flying above you. The picture attached is after 34,000 miles and they are not covered under warranty.
