Bonne Maman: Cherry Preserves This is the best cherry preserves I have ever tasted in my life. most are to sweet this is just right, just a great cherry taste with little sugar. also so tried there blueberry preserves with the same greatness as the cherry. sometimes so one gets it right . this is the one.
I hesitate to recommend this jam because I don't want people to buy it all! I never thought cherry preserves could be so delicious but Bonne Maman found a way. The fruit quality and flavor are what you would expect from a well made jam. They use nice quality fruit. I like that the ingredients are just cherries, sugar, lemon juice and pectin. It is perfect for putting on toast at breakfast or used in a simple pan sauce for pork.
I usually don't read reviews for food but in this case I'm making an exception. these Cherry preserves are absolutely incredible! huge chunks of cherries in a glaze that can almost be termed heavenly, do not hesitate or overthink it - grab it!
I love Bonne Maman Preserves - Blackberry, Raspberry but Cherry is my favorite. I went without it for almost a year when I saw it online. First time I tried to order it, my order was cancelled - so I tried another Walmart Market seller - and they arrived today. These preserves taste like the jams my mother made many years ago -- LOVE THEM
I have always liked cherry jelly/jam since I was around 7 years of age. Walmart doesn't carry that many brands, and even less of cherry jam. When they started to sell this brand I had been using for a few years, I love the taste and smoothness of this product.
I'd give this 5 stars if it weren't so expensive. It's good jam, not a lot of actual fruit pieces mixed with the jam but there is some. It has a nice cherry flavor. I like the jar, it's easy to get into and doesn't have all those rounded edges inside that make it more difficult to remove. I like that also. I just wish it wasn't quite as expensive.
I just purchased 5 flavors. I just tried 2 tablespoons of this one. Not overly distinctive in flavor but of so good anyway. Delicious. I love that the first ingredient is Cherries then followed by sugar. No High Fructose or Corn syrup at all! So like the strawberry, all of them except the marmalade, the fruit comes first. I do prefer the strawberry one, but I do like this one, too and will continue to purchase it. Who cares about cost when what's inside is so much better for you. Taste the fruit and not the sugar of smucker's et al. With these preserves, fruit is always available in my home. Who needs toast? This stuff is enjoyable on the spoon straight out of the jar. Looking forward to trying the raspberry and marmalade.
You substituted cherry preserves for molasses???
This product is one of my favorites. I had ordered it as part of a larger order at a price of $6.18. However a warning.... the product was not available from the Walmart store at the time of our order. So, without my permission Walmart sent it via Fedex at a cost of $13.23. That was after I tried to cancel the product but they sent it anyway. I feel taken advantage of by Walmart.
I like Bonne Maman products( a little pricey but tasty), but this arrived with lid off. Fortunately Walmart had put it in a plastic bag so other items OK. Unless you want to deal with returning a bag of jam, don't order this product
