Great Tires

I installed a new set of these tires on my new truck last fall. This is the 2nd set I have used. Incredable tires! I can go anywhere with these tires in any condition. I live up North and travel all over Northern Ontario in all kinds of weather and these tires never let me down. I would highjly recommend these to anyone that wants a quality set of winter tires. They are expensive, but worth every penny. After all, how do you put a price or value on your winter driving safety? Buy these tires - you will LOVE them as I do!

I live in Alaska and drive a 2010 Volvo XC-70 and my wife has a Jeep Grand Cherekee Limited, so we KNOW about snow/ice conditions. I was extremely hesitant when the front counter guy suggested to me a tire without studs that are twice as good as a studded tire. I chuckled a tad bit, and was about to insist on my proven studded tires, when he said, "Let me show you something...". He brought out my studded tire and a Blizzak, walked past me and continued to go outside, so I followed. What happened next made my jaw drop. He told me to drag the studded tire across the ice, so I did as he requested. Then he said to try the Blizzak. I could hardly move the blizzak. I told him that I wanted four on my car asap. LoL! My wife and I recently had our first child. I will NOT feel safe for me, my wife or our baby girl unless the Blizzaks are on both of our vehicles! I can't put to words the way I feel about Blizzak! KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK B-STONE!! I brag about Blizzaks whenever I can. hehe!

We were in Yuma, Arizona this January and were supposed to be back in Traverse City, Michigan by late January. The weather this winter was what winter used to be 30-40 years ago. Snow, snow, snow and ice on the roads. We were driving a 40', 40,000 lb Motorcoach pulling the Ford F-150. As we inquired about getting home we were told not to try and bring the Coach. The roads were terrible and the long term out look was not getting any better. We left starting the trip the morning after it rained that night and the gravel roads we had to travel over for 1.5 miles to the highway you could ice skate on. We even had to pull the coach with the F-150 so we could get to the highway. We ended up leaving the Coach in Montgomery, Alabama with friends and drove the F-150 home. From Ft. Wayne Indiana to Traverse City Michigan the interstate was completely either snow covered or ice. Much of the time the passing lane had not been plowed. With DM-V1 blizzaks, 2 years old now, we were able to go at normal posted speeds of 70 miles per hour. My wife even commented on how we were able to drive in any lane at normal speed and were still fully under control. We keep Blizzaks on all our passengere vehicles as a winter set of tires. First question we ask when we order new vehicles -"Do they have a set of Blizzaks to fit this vehicle"?. It is that important for us. We just ordered a new 2014 F-150 limited which comes with 22" wheels. They have a set of Blizzaks to fit it!!!!! Guaranteed, they will be on it for the wife and grandkids safety.

I travel across MN and ND every two weeks, driving to and from the oil rig. These Blizzaks are UNREAL. Best tire traction I have ever had in snow and Ice. We get a lot of Blizzards and the Alberta Clippers coming out of the North really make the road conditions horrendous at times. I bought and ran these last winter and take them off early spring. Putting them back on tomorrow preparing for Jack Frost.

I was ready to trade my car in on the first winter i had it, i hated this thing. It did nothing that the salesman had said it was to light to handle on the winter months. Than we put the blizzaks on. I now Love my car again and will be keeping it you saved me a lot of money we would have lost on a trade in. These tires are the best, handling, climbing the hills home are no longer a fear getting home from work on winter nights. Thank you.

Excellent snow tire

I have driven these tires for three seasons in the local southern California mountains. My Explorer is all wheel drive, and the traction is fantastic. I have a long steep driveway in Big Bear Lake, California, and so far have been able to drive in and out in up to 18 inches of snow. Tires ride well in snow, rain and dry pavement. I do not notice road noise reported by other reviewers. The soft rubber compound gives my truck a smoother ride on dry pavement. I do notice a drop in coasting speed and gas mileage, apparently from the softer tires. Strongly recommended.

An excellent tire. I live in Garmisch-Partenkirchen Germany the this tire is simply the best in wet, snow and ice. Moreover, this is a great autobahn tire. Easy to drive and safe above 80mph. I'm running 255/55R18 109R to replace my original Volvo XC60 R-Design T6. No speedo differences!

Two years ago I picked up my first set of these tires and today I'm buying my second set. I drive from Denver to many of the ski resorts (70-170 miles one way# in very bad conditions all the time and these are by far the best tires I've ever driven with. In ice they truly grab or bite and as stated in other reviews you are able to change lanes with mid-lane snow build up and drive in fresh snow with control and ease. BE SURE TO REMOVE THESE IN THE SUMMER - Part of this tires amazingness is it's downfall too, as the heat increases the tires will rapidly wear out. Save your money and remove these in the summer, if possible #not everyone has the money to do this). If you don't take these off in summer, you will experience amazing handling, as the tire will basically be melting into the heat of the pavement.

we have had two early winter blizzards here in Flin Flon, Manitoba and I am driving circles around other vehicles that are stuck on hills and driving past people stuck in the ditches. I was a huge all season tire lover but the difference that these make in the horrible slippery, snowy conditions is amazing. Great traction and amazing stopping at icy intersections. Just drove 1000 km on icy highway as well and the control I had on corners was amazing. Tires were very quiet and fuel mileage was guite good. Would reccomend and buy again. Not sure about there durability as this is my first winter with them.

The thing that sold me on these tires was the review that the salesman took a studded and blizzak tire outside and had a customer pull both , he couldn't pull the blizzak tire . I waited until I had fresh snow covered city streets , I gunned it , I tryed to spin it , I slammed on the brakes , my all season tires I would have spun out , I would have slid while trying to stop , I would have spun trying to take off fast , not with these blizzaks !! Straight stopping , ( alone on the street & no hands on the wheel ) completly straight , I couldn't spin it out , my truck stopped much quicker than it had , I have got SO much traction it's unreal ! I now have a dedicated set of winter tires and I am so happy about that ! Yes , I run 2 sets of wheels , summer & winter . I use to think my all seasons was the way to go , NOT !! I am so happy I bought these , I won't fear anymore of going in the ditch , my life is worth more than that . awesome tire
