Have had my blizzaks on my FWD accord for many bad snow storms and those tires kept me going. During Nemo's 3 feet of snow in CT, my car was plowing through everything, and AWD cars were having issues moving around. peace of mind when driving in winter weather!
Bought the tires in November 2013. Winter of 2013/14 has given us all possible challenges . Tires give me full control of driving through 5 cm of snow. Handling is nice and predictable. After ice rain was still happy with the tires. Also, when temperature dropped bellow - 25, vehicle behavior was still perfect. I can compare Bridgestone with Nokian: even though always have been a fan of fins, I believe recent Nokian price raise makes them too expensive. I recommend Bridgestone: very good quality for money
Had the tires installed 11/30/13 and was able to try them out for the first time on snow/ice. Excellent control and traction, even while other cars/trucks were unable to make it up hills. It's great to have winter driving confidence back! Excellent!
I put a set of 16" Blizzaks on my Audi A8 Quattro, to use as winter tires instead of the 19" Pirrelli P-Zeros I had on the car, but I ended up driving that car on those Blizzaks anywhere in any weather. It was incredible in snow and ice but quiet and comfortable when driving in the rain or the sun. Just an incredible tire! I have told everyone I have spoken with about cars and tires that these Blizzaks were the best tires I had ever had on any car and I have had dozens of Porsche and Audis and other cars over the years with all sorts of tires. I ended up just leaving the 16" Blizzaks on the A8 all year around for several years, even though the low profile tires looked better on the car, because I preferred the rde and comfort that I got from the Blizzaks. A great tire!!!!!
My first winter driving my 2009 Chrysler 300 was a nightmare. I couldn't drive more than 15 MPH without siding off the road. This year I decided to spend the money($800) on a set of 4 Blizzak tires. Yesterday we had our first Snow fall of 6 inches and i couldn't wait to test them out. Wow!!! What a difference. My rear wheel drive Chrysler 300 drove through the snow better that my SUV I had years ago. I am still amazed. I can't wait for the next snow storm to come. The tires are a little noisy but I can live with that for 4 months out of the year. The handling is ok on dry road but feel a little soft. In March I'll put my A/S back on. I'm hoping to get 3 or 4 Season out of these tires for the money I paid. To sum it all up this was Best purchase I may hands down. Thanks, Pat
This was first set of winter tires that I owned and was completely blown away by the experience I had with the WS70s. They really made my FWD vehicle feel like it had AWD. As a car enthusiast, I strive to have the best equipment I can for my vehicle and these were the way to go. I sadly had to sell my WS70s and purchased a cheaper tire, they really just don't compare. When my spouse and I moved farther away into the country, I knew she needed winter tires so of course I got her some WS70 Blizzaks. Now I feel a whole lot more comfortable with her driving in the harsh winter weather.
I put a set of these Blizzaks on my CTS4 last fall. We have had some very bad weather where I live in Northern Ontario with lots of snow, then rain that froze causing lots of ice, then more snow again. These tires took everything Mother Natrure threw at them with ease. Their grip, traction and handling are superb. I feel very confident in all types of driving conditions on these tires. I am VERY happy and would put a set on again. Both of my sons and my daughter in law have also installed the Blizzaks this winter - all with similar comments to what I have said here. Buy these tires! They are worth every penny - and then some. You just can't put a price on your families safety.
Drove up to Vermont to go skiing almost every weekend last winter (From Westchester, NY) Audi's Quattro and my Blizzak WS-70s can handle anything! I drove right through over a foot of snow in the middle of storm Nemo no problem, the car handled fantastic and I remained in control for hours that day, thanks to the Blizzaks. Was able to get to a ski house driving up a steep icy hill as well. Non-blizzak driving friends were definitely having issues getting in the driveway that day, but not me! I will promptly buy Blizzaks again when these require replacement in the future. Did not notice any noise increase when switching to the Blizzaks over my summer tires either.
The Blizzaks proved their worth last winter. I didn't leave the city much but as usual the city of Saskatoon workers failed miserably at keeping the roads clear of snow. It worked out fine though as these tires stuck to the road all winter long. There are plenty of bad drivers in this town and having the advantage of good grip in winter makes all the difference. I'd highly recommend the Blizzaks for winter driving in North America.
This is my second NISSAN QUEST 3.5SL 7 paasengers mini-van and I've got 84,000 miles on her. I loved the 2005 so much I bought the 2008 when the lease expired. These tires are AWESOME; I go anywhere, from anywhere at anytime on my BLAZZAKS. tHE PIECE OF MIND IS WORTH TWICE THE PRICE AND THEY WERE RESONABLE PRICED SNOW TIRES Like another reviewer I left them on over the summer. i didn't want to incur the cost of a change to all season ties. (a bit noisey in the summer)
