Received as ordered. Gap appeared preset.
Part description was accurate and fit/replaced my old spark plug
It was what I needed and it did the job plus arrived on time.
Perfect fit. Great price. Does what it's supposed to. Mower started right up.
I'm pretty good with maintenance on all my small engines. The usual being the oil and filters, and I like many others can tend to overlook our plugs so long as the engine is running. After 6 years I decided to replace the plug on my craftsman pushmower anyhow and was surprised at how much a difference it made. It starts quicker and runs smoother and I imagine in the long run will lead to better fuel efficiency as well. These are no thrill plugs. They come in minimalist packaging and if you're about to change a spark plug, you probably know what you're doing without detailed instructions.
I love that it made by lawn mower run again
Excellent price and replacement part was same as original.
Briggs & Stratton 5095 Part no. 796112 Spark Plug. Since my father passed away a number of years ago, my mother being elderly at age 83, really can't mow the lawn herself. So either myself, or her grandsons take care of her lawn for her. She purchased a new lawnmower 2 springs ago, after the first season of use, it no longer started, so we had to take our mower over to her house to cut the lawn every week. My youngest son removed the old spark plug from the mower, he said he checked the calibration on the new spark plug, and said they usually preset them at factory now a days, so he didn't have to adjust the plug in any way. He then said he hand tightened the plug, lifted the handle of the mower, then removed the plug, making sure it had been seated well, and had gotten conditioned. He then fitted the plug snuggly back, being careful not to over tighten. Wouldn't have believed it, but he attempted to start the mower, first try it was running, a bit smokey at first, most likely from setting up for an entire year, as it soon cleared up. Everyone had thought it was a carburetor problem most likely, and instead it was from a bad plug. The earlier plug was a J-19 I believe. So far, were really pleased with this plug, even wrote the part number on phone, to insure trying this on our mower if it starts acting up. Costs less to replace a plug, than to pay to purchase a new mower. My review took longer than intended, but due to social distancing, as my mom is in here 80's.
I ordered this spark plug as a replacement spark plug for my lawn mower. The first thing I noticed is that the size of the spark plug is not printed on the package. Neither is there a list of sizes that this spark plug is intended to replace. All it has is the Briggs and Stratton part numbers. There are small icons on the package, I'm guessing to suggest the machinery for which this spark plug is intended. The second thing is that this spark plug is not pre gapped. Instructions on the back of the package say the spark plug needs to be gapped according to the specifications for the particular piece of machinery for which it will be used. Every spark plug that I have ever purchased has always been pre gapped. I didn't know they still even sold spark plugs that need to be gapped. I do not have the equipment needed to gap a spark plug and I don't know how to do it. This spark plug is useless to me.
this was the wrong plug for your weedeater. i put in your numbers from your spark plugs. It is still listed as the correct plug. it should be a DJ8J. Then it took 2 weeks for a 2 day shipping. So no I call this a failure.
