This Calphalon Forged Cutlery 5 inch Santoku Knife is a great size and replaces 3 other knives we have had for years. She first used one in a friend's kitchen and said "I want one". We made a super buy at Walmart.
For the money you can't beat it. It's very sharp. I don't care much for the handle it's a little uncomfortable, the edges are very square. But for $15 dollar it aint a bad knife. I think the handle on the Calphalon Contemporary 5-Inch Santoku Knife would more comfortable.
