What a wonderful classroom resource. It helps with driving concepts home, as reminders, and so much more!
These word wall cards are a fantastic way to introduce children to new words that fit a particular subject or theme! The language arts-themed word wall cards offer sixty different vocabulary words that encompass multiple concepts in language arts, from topics relating to literature, to basic forms of sentence building. I also like that they're color coded by the general topic. For instance, the words that are associated with books and literature concepts are all displayed in red, and include words such as "poem," "fiction," and "effect." There are yellow cards to categorize general phonics terms, teal cards to display linguistics, and so on and so forth. One really neat thing, is that these don't necessarily have to be used for display on a wall. Since we homeschool and don't have a huge learning space, we actually use them as flash cards for desk and seat work. I really like that the concepts are broad and offer a solid introduction to common terminology in the subject.
