This is a nice strong bracket for mounting antenna's, etc. I used it to mount an antenna mast to the side of my house. Works great and easy to install.
I'm a Ham Radio operator, and I needed a wall mount for an antenna I built. The antenna is quite large (more than 13' long) and heavy as it is made of copper tubing. Add to this 20' of mast pipe (heavy wall, not the "standard" TV antenna mast), and the whole thing is big, heavy, and hard to work with. These mounts are perfect for the task. They installed easily, came with all of the hardware I needed, and are super strong. I did add some flat washers to the lag screws and the saddle U-bolts, but that is really overkill. They just aren't needed in a practical sense. If these mounts hold up for this antenna, they will hold up forever when used for even a large TV antenna.
This hardware is solid and can hold an antenna quite well. It is made to be mounted on the side of a building to hold up the antenna. The mast will end up four inches away from your wall. Expect about 2 1/2 inches clearance between the mast and the wall. If you need more than this, then this is not the right one for you. You can find others for 12 and even 18 inch clearance if you have a roof section to clear. I am replacing an old one. The U-bolts were seriously rusted but the rest was not bad. This one looks like it will do the same thing. For an outdoor installation, you could consider buying stainless U-bolts. This unit is ideal as-is for an attic application. Put one piece on the ceiling joist, the other on the rafter. These things are hard to find now, since few people install antennas anymore. If you are in an area where you can get over-the-air digital TV, you can save a lot of money. Digital TV seems to broadcast better than analog TV, so it is worth investigating. At Walmart, the price is right and shipping is free if you are willing to go to the store to pick it up. It you shop there regularly anyway, then this is still convenient. They will even return it at the store you picked it up from if it is not right for you.

Worked well for my application which was mounting he outdoor unit of a station. Well made and should work well for any lighter sight application.
Easy to install
The mount brackets and U-bolts are well made and sturdy. The screws supplied for mounting the brackets to a wall are too small. Longer and heavier screws, or lag bolts, should be used if possible. Without guy wires, the mast should not exceed 10 feet above the highest of the two mounts.
Received this item in good time. This is an adequate replacement for a similar unit that I needed to replace which had twisted and began to rust. This unit appears that it will do the job required.
