Some plants may burn if placed in direct sunlight. Water: Pentas likes to be watered once a week with about 1 cup. The frequency of watering may change depending on your plant's pot size, how much light it gets, and the temperature of the environment. Feeding: Feed pentas once a month with a balanced flower food during periods of active growth. Pruning/Shaping: Cut back the stems at any time during spring or early summer when the begonia is in its active growth cycle. Trim back the tall stems by up to two-thirds their height. The begonia will produce new leaves from the base of the cane. Annual pruning maintains these begonias at the desired height while forcing a flush of fuller foliage growth. Repotting: Repot your plants when they become root bound. (A houseplant is root bound when roots appear in the soil or begin to escape through drain holes in the pot bottom.)
