Simon the Fox arrived in perfect condition and looking just like his picture. He now resides beneath an oak tree and looks very elegant sitting there guarding his domain.
I was totally impressed with how real this bear looked and the fish in his paws looked ready to slip away. He was the finishing touch I have been looking for, for our small pond. My husband never tires of remarking "Honey there's a bear at the pond"! The bear is big but not overwhelming and the detailing is exquisite.
I bought this for my husband to place in his pine forest behind our house. We both love that it is life-size and very lifelike in appearance, not stylized. It looks great! It also complements the statue of a wolf that he already had.
We recieved the fox in a timely fashion. The packaging, both external, and even more, the internal blocking, was excellent. Since it is not a "winter approved" material he is currently sitting inside. But as soon as freezing is over he will be going out into our woods, looking like a real fox sitting there.
I bought this bc I like foxes and have seen them in woods, near creeks, etc over the years He is especially poignant bc I recently found out the EPA exterminated all the foxes living on our island, even though residents were in opposition! So I am even more happy to have him!
Absolutely Beautiful... Love this fox... I have ordered 2 items from Hayneedle and found BOTH to be extremely Beautiful.. You may pay less in other stores BUT you'll not get the quality that you get here. I will continue shopping here... Sign Connie Myers
As an avid fox-lover, I was elated to find a life-sized fox sculpture that looked realistic and was reasonably priced. After ordering, it arrived very quickly. Packaged in styrofoam within a large box, it's packaged well. After taking the fox out of the box, I was actually surprised to find that it's quite light for it's size and it is hollow. This is fine with me because I am using it as an indoor sculpture as it rests on my desk next to my computer. While the paint job could have been better, as there are some sloppy bits, the piece is relatively high quality and realistic. Some minor details have been left out such as the nails being left unpainted and the eyes only being colored one flat color with a pupil, but that's just if you want to get picky. For its size, this piece is well worth the price. I am quite pleased.
Excellent detail. I wish Simon was offered in a slightly larger more real size but overall a great addition to my ornimebtal back yard
I absolutely love the fox. He has a perfect face. When I first got him he was a really bright orange, much brighter than the picture on the computer. I used acrylics to darken the orange part and now he is just perfect. Now his color is more like what I saw in the picture.
I love it because it's a fox... it's not suitable for outside though... I thought it would be a little bigger just because in the description it said life size and it's not heavy enough to keep outside... a breeze would blow it over so I have to keep it inside... its definitely pretty but I don't know if it's worth the price...
