Smells so good leaves you smelling good
This soap was well worth the premium price. It produces a thick, creamy lather that will have you feeling clean! Personally, my favorite part of this soap is the smell. It is very fragrant (in a good way) which keeps you smelling clean longer than other bars of soap would.
I bought this soap for my son. I wasn't sure about the smell right at first. I laid the soap down on my bar and continued with what else I was doing. I kept getting a smell of it like you would a scented candle on the table when you come into the room. And it was so delightful. Manly. I love the smell. I might put one out as an air freshener in my work area. lol. I love a manly man smell! I'm going to buy this for my husband!
Smell is good. It's just that I'm used to Buff City Soap and their bars last much longer including staying together right up until the very last sliver. Dr. Squatch is useless after the bar gets low even a little bit. It breaks and then just disintegrates.
The soap bleeds a lot, leaving black liquid on whatever you put it, and the smell does not linger at all, Moments after the shower you can't smell the scent. Also the soap doesn't last long, about 1.5 weeks also it will leave sand and oats on your shower floor
My husband got suckered by some ad for this soap. $6 for one bar of soap is absurd, then to add insult to injury, it leaves black soap scum and oatmeal bits behind, smells like a pine tree air freshener in a stinky taxicab, and crumbled to pieces after a few uses. Complete garbage.
Doesn't last at all! When the bar is used to 1/2 it breaks into numerous pieces, then the small pieces dissolve quickly. The first pic is at 1/2 used then busted into pieces, took a 3 minute shower and 2nd pic is what was left of the bar! I purchased pine tar and the wood barrel. I've used several different brands soap in the past like Irish spring/dove/etc..and they last easily 2 months and never break into pieces! The pine tar smelled ok but the other bar made my head itch, both bars left my skin dried out.
These negative reviews are not exaggerated. This bar literally lost half of it’s volume in the first shower, and it was not under water very long. By the fourth shower it was a thin brittle sheet that I had to crumble into a ball to keep using. It’s more of a shower bomb than a bar of soap. The fragrance is nice but I prefer the Grandpa’s Soap CO’s (GSC) pine tar soap to this one. The GSC bar doesn’t have the exfoliating quality of this bar, but that was gone after the first or second shower as the bar quickly melted away. Therefore, I would recommend the GSC soap to anyone looking for a good quality pine tar soap bar. I included a picture of what this looked like after the fourth shower. It also leaves a black residue everywhere as you can see on my hands, but that washes away easily.
I've bought ordered dr squatch from their website and love it recently stopped the subscription and thought I'd buy it from Walmart. I'm pretty sure it's either made differently or it's old product because the bars of soap are crumbling and don't last as long.
It literally crumbled into 1 million pieces and then I stuck them on the side shelf and they leaked down the wall of the shelf onto the shower floor and My Wife had to sit there and scrub it to get the soap staying off because it was so slippery you would've fell and broke your neck, the product is cut crap, and the companies a choke. People must like it because of the smell, and has basically it.
