Wonderful smelling bath salts!

I love these bath salts. They smell great. They are small little crystals so they dissolve fast and you don't have to feel like you are sitting on sand. I use them in my bath and also for my kids. I use them after a day where I am feeling achy and it seems to help soothe the muscles. It also leaves your skin feeling smooth and moisturized. We all love them!

Soothing scent of Lavender

Occasionally, I soak my aching feet in this epsom salt after a long day. The lavender scent is light and lovely. Very relaxing. I've also used it as an exfoliant mixed with unscented hand soap. It is gentle and effective. I can only imagine how nice it would be to soak in a warm tub for 20 minutes. Unfortunately, that luxury doesn't fit into my life! Living in a very humid environment, I appreciate the resealable bag. I expect 3 lbs will last me a while.

We use epsom salt all the time and I love this one because it has that calming and soothing lavender scent. I love using it in the bath after a long, tiring, stressful day. It also is great at relieving tired, achey and sore muscles, especailly after a workout or working outside all day. My husband likes to use it in the foot bath to soak his feet because he works outside and is always on his feet all day, everyday. It also moisturizes your skin. It comes in a nice, resealable size bag and is great for the whole family to use.

Just as good as the Brand name stuff

I’ve used epsom salt for years to relieve achey muscles. It can be used as a laxative and even as a mild disinfectant( the unscented varieties). I’m a big fan of a nice hot bath at the end of a long day… a little music, a little epsom salt and it’s relaxation time. I’ve used a common Brand name product for years, but decided to give the cheaper Equate brand a try. Now, I’ve have mixed feelings about the Equate brand. Some of the products have been comparable to the brand name stuff, while others ( mostly food products) have fallen short. I don’t mind paying a bit more for a superior product, but if the cheap/store brand is the same as the Brand name stuff, why would you spend more? Gotta cut back where ya can…Especially when gas is over $5 a gallon. So, I was pleasantly surprised with the Equate brand epsom salt. This was my first time getting one with a fragrance. The soothing lavender was a nice touch- not too heavy of a scent, and I think it added a bit of aromatherapy to my bath. This brand contains the same ingredients; the salt ( magnesium sulfate) and then the fragrance. The equate brand also states that it may contain traces of almond, for some reason. I’m assuming it’s processed near where almonds are? But since this particular fragrances epsom salt shouldn’t be ingested, that shouldn’t be problematic for those sensitive to nuts. Just don’t eat the salt. The packaging also gives instructions to add the epsom salt to your favorite body wash or soap to make a skin exfoliant. I have yet to try that, but it’s on my to-do list! Overall, This product is as good as any other I’ve tried. Epsom salt is epsom salt. It does the trick.

If you are a fan of lavender this is a must have. The lavender scent is Very prominent in this Epsom salt, you can actually feel the lavender oil when you put the salt on your hands. This is great for using in the tub to soak sore muscles before bed. The zip lock does not work well the salt gets in the zip track.

Great for Soaking Feet

I have always enjoyed a foot soak, in epsom salt water. Really refreshing after a hot day on my feet; and leaves the skin soft and extra clean. This lavender scented product adds an extra aspect to the experience. It is what I’d describe as a medium potency scent. If you are sensitive to perfumed aroma, this may be a little bit strong for you; especially if you are sitting in a bath tub. For my foot soak: I fill a sturdy plastic container (just big enough for both feet,) with hot tap water and a couple handfuls of epsom salt. By the time I set it down on a towel in front of a comfy chair and get situated, the water has cooled off enough to put my feet in and wiggle my toes a little bit to stir and dissolve the salt. In the summer I soak in the cooled down water for a while, as well! If it’s been a while since your last pedi, the dead, dried skin can be exfoliated with a finger nail scrape or vigorous rub of the towel. This product has smaller grains in comparison to the ones I’ve used in the past. That’s nice for faster dissolving; But caused a little bit of a problem with the plastic Velcro strip closure. Apparently pouring the product out of the bag filled the Velcro hooks and loops with the smaller grains of salt; which wouldn’t allow for as firm a closure as I would like. So I gently scraped the edge of a spoon along the tape to flick some of them out. It seems to have worked. I’ll be more careful next time. But, I am looking forward to my next time! :-)

I wish I could offer you a scratch and sniff button so you could smell these lovely lavender bath salts. The scent is soothing and relaxing. These are great for just soaking in the tub or when you have overdone it and your muscles are tired and achy. The grains are small and dissolve quickly, they are white in color so you don't have to worry about staining your tub. These look great in a clear jar in your bathroom or the bag has a zip shut. Excellent item.

I love these epsom salts for soaking my feet before bed after being on them all day. My feet feel a lot better after and the lavender scent is very relaxing. My skin rinses clean after, theres no oily feeling left over when I’m done. I get quite a few uses out of a bag since I use them in a foot bath. These are a must for sore, tired feet.

My husband loves the Dr Shoals body products for soaking since we are getting older and he still has a job that requires manual labor. They are sometimes out so we tried the Equate brand. They work just as well as the name brand for a smaller price. In this current economy we need to save money wherever we can and using the equate brand products is just one of the many ways you can stretch your money even farther. Since I can’t post a picture of the products in use, I posted a picture of the bag.

Scent is a bit strong.

I am not a huge fan of the fragrance as it is a bit strong for me, usually I buy the plain Epsom salt, but I thought I would give the lavender a try. I like to soak in Epsom salt about once a week to ease my aches and pains, a few big handfuls of salt and 20 minutes in the tub does wonders. The lavender scent in this salt is strong and very floral, it's not that bad though once it dissolves in the water, the ingredients just say "fragrance", so I am not sure if it's natural lavender or just artificial scent, I did not have any irritation on my skin so that is good. Aside from the scent, this salt worked just as good as any other brand I have bought, it dissolves quickly in the water, does not leave a residue or irritate my skin, and it helps with my aches. I do recommend it, but if you are sensitive to scent then stick with the plain unscented.
