Xbox One Will Not Require Internet, Restrict Used Games No more game lending restrictions, daily check-ins or region locks. "After a one-time system set-up with a new Xbox One, you can play any disc based game without ever connecting online again," Microsoft wrote. "There is no 24 hour connection requirement and In addition to being available in retail stores, Xbox One games will still be available for download on day one and will be playable on any Xbox One console. Xbox One will also no longer restrict used games, and will instead allow discs to be exchanged in the same way they are on Xbox 360. There will be no additional restrictions for trade-ins or lending games to friends. The system is also no longer be region locked and all downloaded games will function the same way whether your console is connected or not. Effective Today 6/19/13: Microsoft has lifted ALL the former restrictions of Xbox One. They heard the gamer voice and responded in our favor. NO MORE 24 HOUR RESTRICTIONS. You do NOT have to be connected to the internet to play. You CAN share your game disc with who ever you want just as before. You CAN trade-in your used games or do what ever you want just like playstation but better. Price is still $500 but it's Xbox so you are going to get an incredible gaming experience like no other and it will be so worth it in the end.
The reason it's 500 dollars is because it comes with a kinect, and kinect has more better games than the ps move. You can get a whole different experiment with the kinect. The ps4 doesn't include the move you have to buy it separtly. Now Xbox just improved with their restriction like you don't have to be connected on the jnetrent to play games, can share your game disc to whoever you like, you can trade in your games or whatever you like. With this price I don't think Xbox will disappoint
Why are there even reviews for a product yet to be released. If you can read this review, you have an internet connection and therefore every problem that will be stated for the Xbox One is irrelevant to you. Yes, you must connect to the internet once every 24 hours to play; this is not a problem for most. If you do not have a constant internet connection available, this product is not for you. If comparing this product to the Playstation 4 they are very similar spec-wise. It comes down to what extra features you want with your gaming console. Xbox Live is a great service that provides various methods of entertainment other than just online gaming. Playstation Network Plus, now required for online play with the PS4, while similarly priced, is not as good a value. With it you get fewer forms of entertainment and, while the PS4 claims to be the "gamers console" its Playstation Network matchmaking has been, in the past, very bad.

But it won't be my first choice for now at least. Right now I'm thinking about buying PS4 JUST for the exclusive titles like, Beyond Soul Two. But I do like the Xbox One and it got great stuff the more I know the more I understand of this machine. It's just the price is kinda high and I was surprise that it is $500 instead lets say $450 or $429. I'm hoping they lower the price some what tho. But I'm not quick to say it's gonna fail by no means things can change between now till November.
People interested in Microsoft's new home entertainment console should know these important facts: (All information could change at any time, but as of this writing it is true and confirmed by Microsoft.) 1. The Xbox One needs to connect to the internet once within every 24 hours. If no connection is given within the 24 hour limit, the system will cease as a gaming device until you connect back up to the internet. You can still play blue-rays, dvd, and watch TV, but gaming is not possible until a connection to the internet is established again. 2. The Xbox One is not backwards compatible. Any Xbox 360 titles you own or downloaded, this includes Xbox Arcade, Xbox Indie, ect, will not transfer over or work on the Xbox One. You will, however, be able to transfer your Xbox Live Profile and gamer points. 3. The New Kinect is required for the system to function. New to the Kinect technology, it can now see the slightest movement even up to reading your heartbeat and the position of your eyes on the screen (even in the dark). It keeps track of everything you view, play, and your reactions. You can turn off the recording of all your personal information, but will still be required for the Xbox One to function. 4. A Xbox Gold account is still required to use apps like Netflix and to game online. Gold Accounts are usually found around $45 - $55 a year. As always, any of this and more information can be found online at many popular sites on the internet. I just wanted to share some information that some may not know without a little investigation.
This new XBOX requires an internet connection to play games. If your internet or Xbox Live goes down you will not even be able to play single player games. On top of that you cannot share games with your friends without jumping through hoops. The PS4 has neither of these issues. Although they both use similar PC architecture the PS4 is 1 ½ to 2 times more powerful than the XBOX One thanks to it’s 1.5x faster GPU, 2.5x faster memory, and 1.5x more available memory for games. Plus the XBOX is currently having manufacturing issues that are going to make it even slower. Games will look and run much better on the PS4 for $100 less. All this info can easily be found by doing a quick internet search:) I love my 360 but Microsoft has really let us down with this new console.
