Perfect pit! The grate, that so many complain of, is extremely easy to adjust! The holes are adjustable so don't tighten them when you pit it together. I did and it didn't fit into the bottom pit, so I loosened the bolts and it literally fell into place! I then snugged up the bolts and it has been perfect...love this pit!
I just bought and assembled my second Bessemer Patio Fireplace. I prefer this model for several reasons: (1) the sidewall grilling makes it safe for children and pets who are always moving around the fire (2) the wheels make it portable so I can host neighborhood fires in both our front yard and backyard (3) it holds quite a bit of wood and (4) the cover keeps rain out so ashes from a recent fire don't turn to sludge if it rains overnight. Very pleased this model is still available.
We bought this fireplace so we would be able to have family/friends over to visit in our driveway (6 feet apart) during the COVID-19 pandemic. We absolutely love it! Love that it has wheels and makes it easy to move around. All our neighbors have commented on our driveway fires!
I use this fire pit for burning outdoor fires, I live in the desert area, it's great for burning tumbleweeds.
I easily put this together. Ready for hotdogs!! I like the safety screen to see the fire. You can remove the screen and use the lid to smother the fire. (I use oven mitts. ) I also like the fact that it can be moved wherever I want it.
I bought this outdoor fireplace for our church to use for campfires on our property in town. We needed to contain the fire in order to not break any laws. It was a little hard to assemble, but we are looking forward to using it many times! It fits perfectly in the back of my suburban to transport.
I received this product a little over a week ago. Assembly was fairly easy. I made relatively small fire of twigs and branches, started with newspaper. I started to smell plastic burning after a few minutes and was confused, because I knew all I had thrown in was clean wood and paper. Too late, I realized that the wheels were melting. For the price I didn't expect the best fire pit, but that was a small fire, and the wheels are pretty much shot.
Husband was able to put it together fairly easy even though it was missing some nuts and bolts. Used it for the first time this weekend and the handle broke off of the door and the bolt screwed in from the outside to the bottom portion came completely through now the screen is screwed down to the base very disappointed will contact customer service for replacement parts hopefully Was really looking forward to a firepit that can last us many years but as you can see in the pictures that is only after 1 trip camping and about 4 fires
Great size. HOWEVER, first time lighting it
We just received this two weeks ago and Sunday, we made our first fire. First thing we noticed was the rubber smell, like the review I just read. Sure enough, both tires melted. All we had put in was a few pieces of wood that we would use in our regular wood burning stove. Then we realized that there was a black circle under it. It had completely burned the grass underneath it. We also noticed that the sides were peeling off. Very disappointed. Do not buy. If Walmart would come get it, I would return it. But we already used it. and now I would be returning a stove with peeled sides and both wheels melted, used only one time.
