This little zapper works great, and helps create a nice anbiance over our pond. I've ordered 4 more, to place around our pool & workshop.
I got one of these for my mom and I just had to get one for myself. It works really well. Loved the price %26 size. Only thing I did not like was the short cord. After the first one, I bought one for the back patio.
I dunno what it is with this time of year but the flies and mosquitos are at an all time high. Definetly a good deal so get 2 if you need them!
I wish the Power Cord was Longer I do Not like that it is Hanging right beside the Zapper area. Also, the extension cord is now facing up towards the Rainfall. Some 1 really needs to Redesign this Cord issue. I will Not be able to put it out in the Yard on the Post I designed %26 concreted for it until I design a water-shed Roof. I don't Play Around with Electricity in my yard. The Upside to Zapper is Fast receiving, built Solid,Nice Blue light. Most Importantly Zapper really Works! My Neighbor has 80-100 cows %26 even though it doesn't say anything about Flies I do Not see as many Flies as before. No Noise, No Stinky, I put it on my Deck %26 I Do Recommend Zapper
Yes this really does kill mosquitoes ! After our first night hanging this 25' from the back door, the electric grid and bucket below each has about 50 - 60 mosquitoes. (A couple of moths, but mostly skeeters.) The octenol lure really works for our area (Arkansas). This was money well spent. I hammered in a t-post where I want to hang it and am going to wire a shepherds hook to that to get the proper height of 6' and sturdiness. The house next door is overgrown and vacant so mosquitos make our backyard uncomfortable. We're taking it back and am going to sit outside and play with the dogs again.
Talking about big zap city! Works beautifully!
We are happy with this bug zapper. It doesn't get rid of gnats completely (which is why we bought it) but the proof is in the grates with how many DOZENS of bugs it kills daily. Sometimes it will zap for 30 seconds straight. We love it, and we think about getting another one.
I hung my Flowtron Insect Killer by the pool and it works very well zapping those annoying mosquitos & other flying insects. When I'm near the pool you can hear it doing its job!! It recommends placing it 25' away from human activity, but I needed to have it close to an electrical outlet. So, my choices were close to the house or close to the pool. So I chose to have it away from the house since I have the half acre size. I've only used it for a week and it work very well. So far, the only downside is the very short (approximately 7-8 in) cord to plug in. Fortunately, I have an extension cord timer that I plug it into. This way I can set how long I want it to stay on (dusk to dawn, 2 hrs, 4 hrs etc.). There isn't an "on" "off" switch so you would have to unplug or plug it in when needed (but not me since I have the timer!) Yes, I recommend it because it works killing the mosquitos & other flying insects, but you will need an extension cord (see my photo).
This does not work. I initially thought I had not had it plugged up long enough so this time I plugged it up an hour before I went outside still didn't work. I moved it closer to where we were sitting, and the flies begin to gather on the zapper, but none of them were flying into the light like it said it would attract them, and zap them
Ive been excited for it to arrive and when we finally we got it out the box it was missing the Free octenol mosquito attractant carton. So disappointing.. I really wanted to break it in today but theres no way now - we have to wait again.
