We got this as a replacement for our previous one that after 5 long years of hard use finally died. Honestly other than holidays I never use my big oven because this one does it all. Between the time my old one died, and this one arrived (about a week) I really did not know how to cook. ... LOL. Do not heat up your whole kitchen use this
I would recommend this to everyone considering an counter-top oven. This is the second one I have bought in the last 7 years. Others cost considerably more and cannot out perform this oven. The secret is...infrared and special heating elements. This does not have heating rods for elements.
I've gone through quite a few toaster ovens and I have to say never have I had one that does an excellent job heating my 12" pizza pie, usually I put the pie in the toaster, take it out and the cheese is melted but the bottom of the pie is soft, well with this toaster I put my 12" pizza pie and "mama mia" the cheese is melted and the bottom of my pie is crisp to perfection.
This is my 2nd Frigidaire toaster oven. I had this identical oven for several years. The top heating elements finally burned out, and I liked it so much I ordered the same model. Walmart's price was much lower than all the other places I compared. I like that all the controls are set digitally; so you know exactly the settings.
Infrared cooking is so great, the only other ovens are those Nuwave which I don't like that they take up so much room and are a pain to open etc. This gives you better cooking than them as there is a bottom element and so you don't have to flip everything to cook on the other side. I have only had it a couple weeks, have had no problems at all, you have to learn how to cook with infrared and convection, once you do wow it will make stale bread crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. wow I love this oven and hope it continues to work for me.
We've looked and compared toaster ovens for awhile, finally deciding on this Frigidaire convection oven- and it's great, we use it all the time now- very happy with the heating strength, consistency, and the controls are very accurate and easy to use and adjust. Good size, cleans well, is attractive and solid as a countertop appliance. Very happy with this purchase good quality, especially for the price .
Makes great pizza with our 9"x12" sillicone mat that fits perfectly. Fully cooked in 10 minutes. The bottom lights don't ever look like they go on, but they are infra red so you don't see them. Controls are VERY easy to grasp and having the convection option available for every mode is great.
Bough this a month ago. We have noticed that the bottom elements do not heat up for the functions that the manual says should be using them. The toast feature won't let you set anything other than Medium darkness, and takes a very long time to toast + no element on bottom means only the top gets toasted. the functions are hard to read as names are so small. I do NOT recommend. We are looking for something better.
Bought this for our little office of 3 - it has been wonderful for almost 2 years, and then today the dreaded E02 code. And why isn't this even in the Use and Care book? Have no idea what it means or if it is fixable, but can guarantee you I will buy a different brand when replacing it. I also have one at home (I loved it so much) - hope it lasts longer.
We bought this toaster convection oven a year ago at Best Buy. It worked great until we got the EO2 error. I see that seems to be common. Could someone from Frigidaire respond to what this means and if it can be fixed. I see lots of comments but Frigidaire hasn't commented on it.
