Often hard to find and when delivered, often replaced with the most disgusting fish on the shelf (pacific cod, whiting, etc). I never replace again because I have had to throw away replacements (YUCK!!).
Fresh catfish at the lowest fish price you are likely to find. Don't make the mistake that "filleted" automatically means skin-off. This is skin-on, which becomes tender if fried, baked, air-fried or stewed...and the skin is as nutritious as the meat, w/ omega 3's. As with salmon fillets that cost 4-5X as much, you may find an occasional bone...just diligently feel for %26 remove them, %26 be thankful for the good price for fresh, mild fish. When pickled, these taste as good as herring! Will definitely buy again. Only issue is, if out of stock, you may not like the replacement...so simply request a refund when it is sold out.
But I put it in my freezer for 3 days and it looks freezer burned or something. Is the product/ packaging made for consumption after purchase and not recommended for freezing? We are waiting for the catfish to thaw
I really like these nuggets. I don't know what the deal is but if you put them in your cart you might get them but more likely you will not. It's really normal to be told that they aren't available when you go to pick up your order but still they remain in the available in the shopping app. I even tried going inside and looking for them myself but there weren't any in the racks. I was told by an associate “if it's not in the rack we're out” but again, they still persist in the available category. This is the only product I buy that this situation applies to. Maybe this is an issue with this particular store I don't know but the other stores within 30 miles show availability.
Price went up twice in less than 3 months went from 5 dollars to 6 now it's almost 9 dollars. I hate their over charging us this much for farm raised fish it's not even wild caught. Sad world we're living in.
I found 2 bones in one piece. they were pretty big. I did think the fish tasted good. it is farm raised, not wild which changes the taste. might buy again.
This is the third time I have requested the catfish and each time have not received them. Your ad did not say they were out of stock and I was not informed they were missing until I got home. Would you happen to know when they will be available? Thank you.
Still has the skin on and the kids wouldn't eat it. It tasted OK, but had a gamey taste. Gave it to the dogs and they wouldn't eat it either. I drove to the back of my property and threw it all back there, maybe the coyotes will eat it. I will find out tomorrow. I would not buy this product again.
Worried if I had swallowed fish bones. I want a refund!
when i opened the bag the smell was man made and chemically. didnt realize it was skin on either. honestly just took it out the bag just to put it in the trash. ive been catching and cooking catfish out the lake for years and never seen such bad fish. like they cleaned it with bleach or something.
