My other iron broke and I picked this one in a hurry, and I am glad I did. This iron does a wonderful job on all of my hospital uniforms, dress shirts, and every piece of clothing my wife owns. I can't get over how sleek it looks too. A+
This is a good overall general purpose iron. It is well balanced, glides smoothly over clothing, and control steam well. A good buy, considering the money. We've had ours for a couple years, and now it leaks, but still continues to iron. The only negative about this iron is that the buttons feel flimsy (like most irons). I loath flimsy buttons--a common phenomenon among today's commercial products--but for the price it performs well.
I bought this iron, which I thought was a good price for the options it had, ex: auto-shut off, Tfal. After about two days I notice this scorching smell. It was coming from the iron. It was also staining my clothes. I will be taking it back.
I have had the Iron a couple weeks and noticed that it does not get as hot as when I bought it. At the highest setting cotton shirts needs to be ironed 2 or 3 times. The water tank is small, and needs to be refilled after two shirts. If you use the spray feature plan on refilling more often. "Burst of Steam" feature is far from a "Burst". Actulaay it has no effect at all. Lastly, the iron seems to put spots of water on garments. As you are done wit an area you will see a spot here or there (the size of a querter) that need to be reironed just to dry the garment. Not at all happy with the purchase. Back it will go.
This iron has to be the worst purchase I've ever made for a small electronics purchase. We've not had it very long and I'm already tired of hearing my family complain about it every single day. It takes forever to heat up. It doesn't take the wrinkles out of anything. Sometimes you have to iron something two or three times and it still looks wrinkled. It looks nice, but looks can be deceiving! I will be replacing this piece of junk soon!
This has got to be the worst iron I have ever owned!!!! Firstly it didn't seem to get hot enough even on the highest setting which doubled the time spent ironing as I had to go over everything twice!, then it kept switching itself off unbeknown to me until halfway through an item...rather annoying and frustrating, and I had to refill it with water pretty much after every 2 items!! Definately would not recommend this product...I went back to the good old faithful sunbeam and am happy again now!! (well...as happy as you can be when ironing!!)
I bought this iron because it was light weight compared to some of the others. At first it worked ok, just ok. I figured I would wait a bit and see how it turned out. well, it DOES NOT WORK... don't buy it. I couldn't return it because my husband threw out the box. so now I am stuck with it. I am buying another one.. I went to my sisters house and when I went to her bedroom, there was the iron.. she had bought one too. and she said the same thing - it does not work! Please don't spend your money on this product...
I love to purchase GE products. I iron daily and was very impressed with the look of this iron and its features. I had product for not even a year and now it is making this weird noise when the steam is coming out, almost like your choking a chicken. A very annoying noise and very disturbing. I have exchanged it once, and now on my second one, exact same one and it does it again. I am not happy.
This iron is about two weeks old and it does not get hot enough for cotton, leaks water(really bad) when using steam feature and overall is not a good choice. Product is priced well but I guess ya get what you pay for and this is not a good deal when selecting an iron.
This is the worst iron I have ever used. I wish I read the reviews before purchasing. You wouldn't think it would be difficult to make an iron, but apparently it is. This thing will not get hot enough to take out any wrinkles AT ALL! Steam, no steam, high heat, whatever, it will not take out a single wrinkle. Secondly, it leaked water all over my clothes, even though I only put a very minimal amount in there! I've been researching irons all night and I have no idea what I'm buying tomorrow when I return this piece of junk.
