It is a very cute and very useful product. My baby is only 17 months, he loves it and has it on his back whenever he walks outside. I can easily hold the monkey's tail and walk with him...my back got released from it. Thanks little money.
This is a life saving products!! My son runs away from me all of the time(terrible 1 1/2's) and with this he can not run away from me!! I love this product and cant live without it.
My son loves his new monkey! It took a while before he would wear it as a backpack-we had to play with it and name it, etc.- then once the monkey was his "friend" he would wear it and would actually hand the leash to me to hold! Great for outings with large crowds.
I love this thing and was not too keen on the idea of putting my daughter on a leash! However, she's getting so fast and in crowds, she could be gone in one blink of your eye and all you would see is people but not your baby. Imagine that feeling! She's figured out how to slip out of a lot of things, but not with this. It looks like a little backpack strapped to her strapped to you. So cute!!! People at Disney made comments, "you have a little monkey on your back...girl!." LOL I HIGHLY recommend this product to every parent!!!!
Ever since my son learned to walk he doesnt want held, he hates riding in strollers and shopping carts, so we were always chasing him all over the place when we'd go out. Until we found this, at first I was iffy about him liking it, because he hates to even wear jackets, so i wasnt for sure he'd like it. But after a couple times wearing it, he forgot it was even on him. It keeps him at a reasonable disance, and it has a little pocket in the back to store small things like binkys. The only problem I have with it is I think the leash part is hard to buckle and unbuckle. My son is 1 1/2. But I would recommend this product to anyone with energetic kids. It really does help!
I have not had to use this out and about yet, but my twins LOVE the little monkey "backpack." I wanted them to get used to it, so we have it out with their other toys. They will bring it up to me so I will put it on them. They will both wear their backpacks just to play around the house--it is to cute! We also have the froggy. I've heard others say that seeing kids in these was not as "disturbing" as just regular harnesses. Personally, I think they are adorable, but my primary goal is to keep my two rambunctious 16 month olds safe! So, I don't really care what others think. If you are concerned though, this is probably the way to go.
Ok I was not going to get my daughter this cause I think it is mean to put a kid on a leash, but my father wanted one so he could let her walk around the mall freely. So we got it and it is so CUTE!!! She does like it and it fits her great. She is 17 months old.
We purchased this child safety harness for out trip to Disney World. It was PERFECT for keeping tabs on your little ones without confining them to a stroller!! Our son had the freedom to roam and we felt better knowing he was safe and close by. The 'pouch' on the monkey's back was perfect for his special things (sunglasses, small toy, etc) so he thought he had something special too! Everywhere we went people were commenting about my son having a monkey on his back and he loved the attention!! To anyone thinking about buying this, please do!! It's an awesome product and is definitely a huge help to parents everywhere!!
I used to laugh at parents who walked around with their children on "leashes" until I became a parent myself. We were planning a trip to Sea World, and there was no way I was going to let our son walk around freely. This harness was adorable. Our son hugged it as soon as we pulled it out of the box. It's very soft, and the little pouch in the back is nice to carry a little (emphasis on little) something. My only real complaint about it would be that the head of the monkey sat right up against the back of our son's head, and it really bothered him. He kept swatting at it and trying to turn around to get it. That's the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars. I'd definitely recommend this harness. It did what we needed it to and our son didn't mind it. But of course, we did get the "looks" that I used to give before I was a parent, haha. Go figure.
I bought this to use for my 2 1/2 year old since she doesn't like to sit in strollers anymore and she has a tendency to wander off in crowded places. She LOVED the monkey but HATED that it was a harness! The strap seemed too short, she couldn't get very far away at all. She quickly (during the first use) learned to unsnap it and remove it! I only tried it twice and it just didn't work for us. I would only recommend this product for a younger toddler.
