Our one month old loves this swing. Can't help but fall asleep with it's rocker like swinging motion. It is like someone is actually rocking him to sleep. Only complaint is the setup because the cover is hard to snap on since it is so tightly fitted. Once you get passed the initial setup the swing is a lifesaver.
I purchased this for my grandson. My daughter-in-law had Monteiro issues with assembly. We haven't yet used it motorized so I can't report to it's function or longevity. It's doing well so far.
I bought this swing about a week after my daughter was born. It was working fine, but after a month it stopped working. Oh called to get a replacement motor and it was never delivered due to a wrong address(I gave the right address but the delivery guy didn't know what letters Trlr stood for)but after giving them a call and a new address I have received the motor. I am putting the swing together today, I hope it works just fine.
I received the swing as a baby shower gift. I have the whole Sonoma Collection. The swing stop working all most right away. It sounded like it wanted to work but would not swing at all. The customer service at Graco has worked with me a few times in trying to get me new parts so my swing will work, this has failed three times. The wrong motor keeps getting sent. They are now going to replace my entire swing. The unfortunate thing is that it has taken three months to get here. I may not be a fan of this swing but I am a fan of Graco customer service! They have kept trying to fix this issue for me. They have been pleasant ever conversation I've had with them. Their wonderful customer service is what will keep me a fan of their products. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed hoping that the new swing will not have same issue!
This swing worked fine at first. 3 weeks into our purchase the music effects stopped working. I was okay with this as my daughter didn't mind it on or off. Now, 4 weeks later, even on the fastest setting (speed 6) it will barely rock my 12 pound daughter. Weight limit 25 lbs. Batteries have been replaced twice just to make sure that wasn't the problem. I like how it's not as bulky as a full sized swing and fits nicely in a small space while storing. I also like how deep the seating and my daughter appears comfortable in it....if it would just do it's job.
First off, assembly of this product would have been five minutes or less if not for the buttons in the back. It took two of us to hold it together to finally get it snapped shut. The first month was great, worked really well. As the second month approached, the swing mechanism became much slower. We replaced the old batteries and was ready to use again only to have it barely swing at all. You have six speeds, six being the highest and my five month old son just looked at us wondering why he wasn't going anywhere. The weight limit states 25 lbs. My son is only 15 lbs. We will be boxing this up and returning it.
I saw this when I was registering for my baby shower and thought wow I really like the idea of "gliding" rather than the traditional swing. I put it on my registry and sure enough I got it at my baby shower. My fiance and I put it together which took about 45 mins because the material to make the seat has to button in the back. It was so hard to snap I had to try and hold the material together while he snapped. Then we finally get it together, have our son a month later. Put him in it, and what do you know... IT HARDLY GLIDES ANYWHERE- he looked at me like "really Mom?" On top of all of this the music is right next to his ear and he has NOTHING to stare at because the cheap little stars that attach do absolutely nothing for him. Bottom line- Just return it and get a Fisher Price swing.
i got this soother swing and had my daughter not even two weeks ago and she has only been in this 3 times no longer than 15 / 20 mins each time . i went to turn on the music to see if she would like it and it sounds like a dying animal. all screechy and loud. The swing itself needs a "push" here and there to keep moving and my daughter is only pushing 7 lbs. The motor is completely shot its definitely not the batteries. i would never go and buy this again , i dont even want to return it to the store to get a " new one" id rather buy a whole new product
As I was reading many of the other reviews I keep thinking, ditto. The product was VERY HARD to put together - the fabric had to stretch really hard and this was frustrating to start with. Our daughter was 9 lbs 7 oz when she was born so she was a heavier baby but the swing is suppose to go up to 25 lbs. This worked ok for the first 2 months - she loved it and I don't know what we would have done without it. It did go through batteries like crazy but worth the investment because she would actually sleep. However into the second month the sounds went out. This was very frustrating when I know the swing was almost $90. Now she is only 3 months old, 14 lbs and it won't swing her. I am not happy with this swing and although this was a gift I would love to know how to get the money back so I can buy a swing that works!
This swing is terrible! I received it as a gift at my baby shower. Thought it was perfect because I needed something smaller due to limited space in my home. The size is about the only thing that I like about this swing. It stopped working completely after 3 weeks. The sound works but it will not "swing" on any level. My baby rarely used it until that point. As another reviewer said at one point it would just stop after 2 minutes and would need a push to get going again. Now on level 6 it barely moves at all. I wish I had read these reviews before putting this on my baby registry. Don't waste your money on this piece of junk!
