After having ordered and returned another Graco travel system (the Alano), due to the defective hinge on the legs, my husband and I are so pleased with the UrbanLite - Vance. ASSEMBLY: My husband put the stroller together fairly quickly and noted that it was both easier to assemble and felt a lot sturdier than the previous Graco model we returned. STROLLER: After reading several reviews and then trying this model out myself, I would agree on the following points: * Incredibly easy to fold and open! I am 5'4" and 7 months pregnant, so if I can do this now it should be a piece of cake after he's born. I will say that what you cannot see from the online photos and videos is that there is a very small plastic release button on the stroller handle. So far it has been easier to use than the larger mechanisms on the handle. It's also nice that it says upright when you fold it, vs. laying down on the ground. This is mostly a back-saver to me, which is great after being pregnant for 9 months. * Super lite. The stroller is very light, compared to most models on the market. Again, this is key for taking the stroller in/out of the car since I will be doing this most of the time and without my husband there. * The most common 'cons' I've seen online is that there is no preview window on the stroller canopy and that the storage basket isn't accessible when the seat is fully reclined. The absence of the window in the canopy doesn't both me at all, as I don't see the big deal about just pulling it down a bit to see my baby. Also, the storage basket; from what I hear from other mothers is that this is the case with all of their strollers, too. Just something to deal with, and work around, I suppose. Now, just to add the disclaimer, again, our son has not been born yet, so we have not truly put any of these things to real-time use. CAR SEAT: * I prefer the Snugride 30, vs. the non-specific infant car seats as it feels a bit sturdier and cushioning is a big more 'snug' (for lack of a better word). I know that all car seats sold in the USA have to meet the same safety standards, but if it's just my perception at least it makes me feel better. * Infant padding - I believe this seat accommodates newborns, and the padding seems to be a bit fuller for them. I MIGHT still get one of those extra head rest supports, just to make sure he really is completely snug. Of course, newborns come in different sizes, so I imagine I'll have to just see how things go when he gets here. PATTERN: * LOVE the neutral pattern! It's a variety of greys, and not too crazy of a pattern. It's almost the perfect mix between preppy and contemporary, to me. Even though it's gender neutral, I love the fact that it's still the right dose of 'masculine' for my husband. * Canopy has detailed quilting. Again, we have not yet put this travel system to use, but so far it maneuvers and functions very well and is such a lovely pattern. I would recommend this system to anyone.
We love our travel system by Graco! When our daughter was an infant and she would fall asleep in the car, we would simply take the car seat and snap it into the stroller without having to wake her up. We loved that the seat snapped in so that we could easily see her while pushing the stroller. It also worked really well when she would fall asleep in the stroller and we had to transfer her to the car. When she outgrew the car seat we still used the stroller all the time and the reclining seat was great for when she would take a nap while we were out and about. When you recline the seat all the way it can also serve as a mobile changing table, especially useful when at parks and other public places without changing tables in bathrooms. This is a wonderful option for any family!
Stroller is lite weight and rides smoothly. Also very cute and comfy car seat
This stroller has everything you need for your baby! Handles well. Plenty of storage in the basket. Light weight. The only thing it's missing is a closed lid compartment in the parents tray. Love the pattern.
The urbanlite travel system came with a large box. It took me less than 30 minutes to put them together. To dissemble it, if needed in the future, might be painful though. I did notice the parent's tray was defective. Instead of putting everything back together and returning it to the Walmart, I decided to give the customer service a call. The rep at Graco was awesome and she offered to send me a new parent's tray. One week later, the parent's tray arrived. Everything looks great. Both my wife and I like the color and the fabric. Although one of the parts was defective, but considering the excellent customer service, I would give it a 5-star.
We have been using this travel system with our daughter for the past five months, and it has held up well. It is easy to use, and I love the neutral color. The adjustable handle is great since I am 5' and my husband is 6'4". I also like how lightweight it is. Great purchase!
All components fit together well.
I love this travel set! Im tall so i needed handles that adjusted! Very pleased with my purchase
I searched high and low for a travel system in which the stoller was decently lightweight and easy to fold. After finding this one, I didn't have to look any longer. The stroller is fairly lightweight for a travel system stroller, and is super super easy to fold (check out the video). It was important to me that the stroller didn't fold to the floor, but rather folded to a standing up position. This one does just that. The way it folds plus the light weight of the stroller means I can fold it up and stow it in the trunk very easily, without flaring up my fibromyalgia. It's great!!! The car seat part of it is wonderful as well. It's a cinch to snap in and out of the car. The fabric has been extremely durable, it looks brand new and my daughter is now 5 months old. It does make her pretty sweaty, but I think most car seats would. Overall, I feel I made the best choice I could have ever made in going with this system.
The travel system wass very easy to put together. The system is going to be great when our little one comes.
