Detailed product description

Compatible with most 26" to 55" flat-panel TVs weighing up to 80 lbs.; 10° to -2° tilt angle; ±135° swivel; solid steel construction with powdercoat finish

Let’s start with a quick round up. This is the best all-round TV. Hands down. Movies, gaming, sports... it’ll handle anything you can throw at it and look great doing it (try not to actually throw stuff, it’s just a figure of speech). No surprise when it’s got 4K resolution, Quantum Dot Color, Dolby Vision HDR, 120Hz native panel, Full Array Local Dimming Zones, anti-glare panel and powerful 1,500 nit peak brightness. What does all that mean? It’s like gazing at the sun melting into the Mediterranean Sea from Ibiza’s coolest bars. But sitting on your couch. At home. Then for gaming, we added Variable Refresh rate, Auto Low Latency Mode and FreeSync Premium to make the most of the latest generation gaming platforms. Even if you don’t know what half this stuff means, one look at the picture and you’ll want it.

4K ULED™- Like 4K great, but better. The U8G has our exclusive ULED technologies. They boost color, contrast, brightness, motion… we could go on. It’s the TV your old TV wants to be. Game Mode Pro- All the most advanced gaming tech, all in this TV. HDMI 2.1 inputs recognize gaming sequences to automatically adjust settings for smooth, uninterrupted play. The automatic low-latency mode (ALLM), variable refresh rate (VRR) and FreeS-ync minimize input lag, screen jitter, and frame tearing. So your gaming looks sick even if you suck. Quantum Dot Wide Color Gamut- See over one billion shades. Quantum Dot produces purer, richer, more brilliant and accurate colors than a regular LED TV. We could get into how it works. But it’s a lot easier to say it makes every day look like the 4th of July. Ultra Motion and 120Hz Native refresh rate- Ultra Motion removes the digital ‘noise’ that can affect moving objects. Whether it’s a bird, a plane or the man of steel, everything you see is exceptionally clear. Blurred lines? Not on this TV, the 120Hz native refresh rate means smoother gaming with pictures that keep up with your play. Dolby Vision™ & Dolby Atmos®- Dolby Vision HDR picture and Dolby Atmos sound are cinema technology for your home. They provide amazing realism you can see and hear in every scene. IMAX Enhanced- IMAX Enhanced brings the cinema experience home. It combines digitally remastered 4K HDR content and DTS audio technologies with the best consumer products and streaming platforms. Built for people who want a more premier, at-home experience. Peak Brightness/Full Array Local Dimming Zones- Let’s start with the science. Screen brightness is measured in nits. One nit is the same brightness as one candle. So the higher the nit rating, the brighter the screen. The average TV is 250-350 nits. Anything over 500 nits is extremely good. This is up to 1,500 nits peak brightness across 360 local dimming zones. You get the picture. A picture that’s brighter and perfectly lit in any light condition. Hands Free Voice Control- Put down the remote. Change the channel, find the latest movie, stream your favorite video and more with your voice. The quicker, easier way to find whatever you want to watch. Voice Remote- The backlit voice control makes controlling your TV easier. Open apps, turn the volume up or down, search for your favorite shows. And if the actual remote goes missing, use the buttons on the TV to activate ‘Find My Remote’. Five bucks says it’s down the back of the couch. Google Assistant- The Google Assistant* is built into Android TV. Tell it to turn on the lights, change the thermostat, add stuff to your grocery list, or just play that video of your friend falling over for the millionth time. And with universal search, you can even get recommendations with Android TV. OTHER FEATURES- Noise Reduction, Parental Control, Closed Caption, Sleep Timer, Google Assistant, Chromecast Built-In, Web Browser, Hands Free Voice Control(On/Off Privacy Switch), Remote Finder Works with Alexa: The U8G works with Alexa through any of your Alexa-enabled devices. Just ask Alexa to switch the TV on or off, change channels and lots more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Needed a bigger screen for our master bedroom. The 55" is ideal. The picture is crisp and sharp. Just the appropriate brightness for a bedroom. Love it Update: Have now been using TV for over two weeks. It continues to impress. Sound quality is excellent. Have now had time to further explore some of the settings which has allowed me to fine tune my watching experience.

I received this TV to review and all I can say is WOW. It does exactly what we need it to do for our family, navigating thru apps without any lagging or freezing -- our old Samsung smart tv did that. The TV is light and easy to mount, set-up was super quick, and it's so easy to navigate. Gotta love the chrome cast and Google assistant! I love using the voice command to put on cartoons for the kids or play a song, playlist or podcast. It's just amazing. So convenient and makes life so much easier! The USB location in the back is at a good access point, not too far hidden as our previous TV had been. The sound quality is outstanding, the picture quality is crystal clear. A truly luxurious TV with all of the high end features at an affordable price.

Got it setup four days ago and it's now fine tuned. Latest nature videos will blow you away. Everything from night sky and moonscapes to brilliantly colored flowers and birds are absolutely incredible. Better than our 3D setup. Handles so-nose arc Atmos soundbar flawlessly (use hdmi eARC port 3). We looked at all the major brands. Nothing touched this beast for price, quality and tech bling.

TV is amazing for PS5. Great size and perfect for both gaming and content viewing. Google built in is an amazing feature. Highly recommended as a great option for those who want gaming monitor latency at 4k 120htz but also have a traditional tv set up for content viewing like netflix

I have had this TV for a few months now it has been great. Oppo BD 103 at 1k through Onkyo TXNR 1010 @ 4K to TV. I really notice the 120 Hz panel. Really nice colours. There are a lot of settings I and I had to learn about sharpness, etc. But I think I got a pretty good TV. The Google TV part of it works flawlessly. Very happy with that. Does not hook up to my remote though. The frame and the stand look fantastic. Best on the market for looks I think. I bought a 5 year warranty on it. The TV speakers are fantastic. To have the TV on its own, the TV speakers are fantastic. The picture is not perfect all of the time. Like sunshine going through hair. Light enough to setup yourself.

Very good picture but had issues with audio

With all of its great reviews, I had high hopes for this TV. Maybe I got a dud but it did not work out for me at all. The TV didn't need to do much: I wanted to view cable TV, Netflix, and DVDs and to listen through headphones. So what's the problem? Picture: the picture is very good for everything except cable TV channels that are not HD; the HD channels are fine Remote: not always responsive even after doing the weird reset recommended by multiple sources on the Internet. Also the channel up/down buttons will not change the cable TV channels so you're always using two remotes. Support: polite. “SAFE MODE”: this term appears periodically on the screen for no apparent reason. According to many on the Internet it's an Android issue. Hisense support is “not aware of any Safe Mode feature on our unit”. Turning the set on/off gets rid of it but it will be back. Start-up: The TV always starts up at the Home Screen positioned to start Netflix. I want it to start up at a cable TV channel but, no, that's always 7 clicks away on the clumsy remote. Inconvenient but would not be a deal breaker if all else was well. Bluetooth headphones. The headphones confirmed pairing and the Hisense device settings confirmed the connection, but the TV would not allow me to select Bluetooth for audio and I could never get audio through these headphones. Wireless headphones. No connection guidance in the manual. Finally connected the headphone dock to the correct TV outlet after finding the wrong info on the Internet. Wanted TV speakers off while using headphones, finally tracked down the setting and - - a miracle - - I had sound through headphones. For one night. The next day, without changing any settings, only Netflix had audio. There was no audio from the cable TV channels. I disconnected the headphones from the TV, then did a complete reset of the TV. Still no audio even though I could see the audio level bar increase as I tried to increase sound with the remote. At this point I had spent countless hours and done many resets over 5 days to try to use this TV. I can't tell you what happened to the audio because that was the point I decided I had to return the TV and boxed it up. I borrowed a ten-year old 32” Samsung to use temporarily: cable TV, Netflix, DVD player, and headphones all set up in less than 30 minutes.

I was excited to try out my first Hisense TV.. the value for features was the best (I am a gamer). Unfortunately after plugging in the TV there was a black line that ran across the left side of the tv and other distortion (defective). I requested a refund, I will not take another chance with them. Good luck!!
