[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Holme purifier filter helps catches dust, pollen, & even smell. I have the purifier in my kitchen and it smells cleaner in the air. It is very lightweight. When it starts getting dirty, that's when you need to change the filter or even when you don't feel the air coming out anymore. How to put the filter in, you simply just lift the back tab up, and then pull the tab to the filter out, and then just simply pop the new filter in. I highly recommend this product.

I love how easy this is to install at the back of my personal purifier. This small square of wonder might be smaller than my head but it had done so much great work for me. I live in a city of here bush fires have given us really stuffy air and this product along with the purifier it fits in is a total lifesaver. I totally recommend this product!
I have purchased and repurchased these over many years for the Holmes & Bionaire models they fit. I once tried a cheaper brand (Best Air)---it was thinner, didn't fully fit the holding brackets, and had to be cycled (replaced) more often. Holmes HWF100-UC3 really fit well, are thicker, and stronger. Moreover, they have a real retainer "button" (the "blue" button in the photo) and keeps them in place. vs a "hook" you insert for the cheaper brand (which can pull right out or hard to get in the right place. Hollmes has, to their credit, made their filters competitive in cost when you consider how much better they are. Which is to say: Made for the Machines! The filter while not quite as sturdy as the filter that comes when you first purchase the air purifier is a good quality filter. Depending on how much you run the machine and how much it has to filter they generally last 2-3 months with at least 8 hours of daily use. I purchased four to last me close to a year.
I have only used Holmes filters and have nothing to compare them to. Sometimes they come apart at the seam and I sew them with a needle and thread so they will last longer. I always try and buy them when they are on sale. They usually only last about a month.
I previously order one filter about 2 years ago. I moved and my humidifier was found in a box in the garage. I ordered 3 filters on 4/7/2020 and they arrived in a timeline manner. When I opened the box all 3 filters were smashed together in a small box like an accordion. I took the plastic off and removed one filter so I could form it into a circle. I was shocked when I seen thick white glue binding two pieces together to form a circle. All 3 filters arrived this way. However my old filter did not. I will be calling to understand what went wrong.
