I love these. It has a very thin plastic coating on the clear shield that has to be remove. The plastic coating look like it is the shield but it not. I keep my shield in my car on the floor so far no scratches or cracks in the shield. I have had this for about 4 months and I wear it everyday for a few hours. The shield has a knob that adjust to your head and one can buy the replaceable shield if need to. I do wear a smaller mask under the shield. The price may be a little steep but worth the few bucks compare to the Covid 19 hospital bill.
The Uvex 8500 has been a great face shield, use has taken it's toll, so buying a new one. The lens is very clear, however, you must remove the protective film on both side of the lens. Based on some of the reviews I believe this was over looked. The shield is very comfortable, offers good protection, and reduces noise.
Love this shield. I purchase for 2 reasons. 1. to use when using my bench grinder and 2. when I mow my lawn. Can't be used mowing lawn because my ear muffs and shield can not be worn together. I choose ear muffs and use a different shield. My googles and or glasses get fogged up from sweat.
A very good fitting face mask at a low price. I recommend buying the extra screen insert at the same time so you will have it when you need it.
I actually bought this for my 14 year old to use as a Halloween costume. This complimented the astronaut look perfectly and was also a fantastic shield to protect against Covid. We had a very small halloween gathering to play a real life version of "among us" with a few close friends and we definitely wanted to find ways to be incorporate masks into our costumes so this was a big hit and a deciding factor when looking for something we could turn into an astronaut helmet! It's extremely comfortable, very easy to adjust to your exact measurements and preference. It's very well made and worth the price.
good basic safety face shield. Walmart sells it for 1/2 the price of others
The mask is stylish compared to regular cloth masks. Far more comfortable, breathable and pleasant to wear. And I added some whimsical attitude to it. I took the side panel from a six pack cardboard case of Corona beer and overlayed the lower half of the visor. Now it's a Corona COVID-19 mask. Pfffftttt HaHaHaHa
This was the same face shield as the Matco tool man was selling - but 1/3 rd the price (no surprise there)
the shield in the picture was clear. the one sent me had a frosted shield which makes it difficult to use. I can use it but need one with a clear shield
The product is comfortable and can be used for many things other than covid protector. I have used it mostly for weed walking. Very comfy. Issue with faceshields is your breathing can fog it up depending on your breathing. Comfy though. Make sure you take off the shield protector
