The knob covers are pretty decent. Clear and a bit hard to open for a kid, especially my @3 years old toddler. I have an older stove/range and they still fit well. I'd have to remove the covers off in order to igite the flame. My toddler finally gave up trying to mess with the knobs. I'm impressed!
My three year old kept turning on the oven, so I picked these up. These knobs are an excellent deterrent, and incredibly easy to install. Simply Remove the oven knob, place the child guard in its place, then place the knob back on, over the guard. The guard snaps shut around the knobs, but can be opened when you need to access the cooking controls. Very Highly recommend for anyone with young children or family with dementia.
This is a very good set of children's safety covers for a gas stove. I have purchased another set with my first child but left them on the oven when I moved. This set of Jool brand is a great version follow a necessary childproofing item if one has a gas stove and can't risk curious little fingers turning the gas on accidently.
Hook Clear Stove Knob Covers. Comes with five easy to install knobs. Covers will work with knobs up to 1.75” deep and 2.5” wide. Covers are hard heat resisted plastic so they move freely around the stove knobs with turning them on. To use the stove knobs, you press the button on the cover and it pops open. I leave the cover open when cooking so I'm not constantly opening and closing the cover. Instructions say to remove the covers if broiling in oven to prevent damage to the covers from the heat. Product does what it says it will do and prevents my two year old granddaughter from turning on the gas stove when I'm not looking. Covers are easy to open when I'm using the stove top. They are better than my first impression, easy to leave open when cooking and close back up when done.
These are so perfect! My toddlers are just now noticing the knobs on our stove and wanting to grab and turn them....these knob covers are perfect! I do not have to worry with these on. This set is 5 knob covers. They are clear and look good on, the kinda blend in since they are clear. Super easy to put on. You simply pull off your knobs, open the hinged lid on these covers, place over knob, push knob back on your stove and close lid. To use knobs you simply open lid and you can use your knob. Little ones can't open the covers so these keep your stove safe. These are easy to wipe clean. The plastic these are made with is high quality and heat resistant. This is a great safety set. These work perfectly and I highly recommend them!
These stove knob covers are fantastic! Each one is a clear little compartment that you can easily open and close. Open only to operate the knob and then flip it closed again. I didn't even need to read any instructions. My two year old can turn and turn the covers without bothering the actual knob. We also had problems with running into the knobs and turning them on without realizing it... Enough to where the gas was escaping and we didn't know until we smelled it. Both of those problems have been taken care of. I love these things!
These stove knob protectors are really the best protection for children. Especially for children who are very curious and explorers. When it comes to security, no detail is very much. My stove has the knobs on the top of the stove. However, my girl who is the explorer takes a bench or chair and thus reaches them. I had seen them before and had always wanted to buy them but for one thing or another we had never been able to do so far. It easily fits knobs and installs in just a few minutes. These knob protectors are really a way of protecting your children from danger and being calmer as parents with this protection.
LOVE having these. I just take the knob off, place this on open, place the knob back on and close it and it's perfect! I can't see my kids getting these off of there at all! I have a 4 and 2 year old. Hard thing though is it makes them more noticeable so they might be MORE interested in them. I'm glad they are clear though! You can just Squeeze it in the right place and it opens so you can turn them on. Just DO NOT forget to take them off if you are broiling something!
Our toddler loves to cook and with adult supervision everything works out great but there have been times when she's tried to turn the stove knobs on or change the temperature it's currently on so we thought we'd give these protectors a try. Even though these are easy to put on I found them to be more of a hassle than anything. I'm in the kitchen actively cooking or baking quite a bit so to constantly lock and unlock these is a no go for me. They do provide protection however if you're a family that cooks a lot these may not be for you. But all is not lost. When the kitchen is closed for the night, I pop these back on and only release them when I start my day.
I have a gas stove/oven with front knobs above the oven door. I usually have the knobs removed completely because even a hip bump walking by turned the stove on! I thought these would eliminate that-- they did! The downside is that since my knobs are on the vertical side-- they hang, just low enough to slightly impede the oven door. So, every time I open or shut it, the knobs get banged. Appearance wise, they aren't bad, I like that they are clear and have a simple design. Overall, they serve their function and I like them. I'm sure they could be better on other stoves too.
