Love this for my cat! It is constantly filtering the water and also keeps the backup water covered and clean from particles falling in. And automatically refills. I bought a more expensive one that required batteries and shot out the water in my cats face which he didn't like and also created a slimy film only after a few days on the bottom of the bowl. And it didn't cover the water like this one. This was cheaper and better. Winner winner!
First and foremost a word to be more wise; do not, i repeat, do not turn this on without water. It can and will scare you and any pet within the vicinity. lol, my kitten is scared of it right now but she's getting closer to it. My older cat caught on after just staring at it for a minute or two. Give them time they will learn it's there to help them not hurt them. I'm going to end up buying lots of refill filters because i don't really think im going back to the traditional watering bowl, ever. The top pop's off and you can remove the pump and the filter EASILY, there's step by step instructions on the pumps care which is easy. It comes with 2 brushes to clean the bowl and the pump. :0)
This is such a great item, I didn't realize how important it was that cats drink water. Then we had an emergency trip to the vet! And my vet said that cats want moving water. I noticed that one of my cats would move the water bowl before she would drink it. So I tried a few different fountain type water fountains for them, but they're noisy. This is great and the cats (3) love it. They drink like crazy, every one is happy again. And healthy.
Works great, has heavy duty electric cord. I have 4 cats and it keeps them watered for several days.
Not a bad kittie bowl. Kitties were not sure about this at first but then became used to the flowing water. Little noise. Easy to clean.
This fountain works great. The cats arent afraid of it. What I like most about its design is that the motor is in a separate compartment from the drinking bowl. The motor is a just a bit noisy but not bad at all and quickly became white noise. It is easy to clean which is a big thing. I had to get used to how to clean it first. It is dishwasher safe once the filter and motor are removed. The only thing that would make it a whole lot better is for it to be made of stainless steel-that would make it perfect! And thats the reason I gave a four star rating instead of five.
so far so good. make sure it's on a level place. when you fill it it empties half the jug, this is normal.
Had this for a month and a half and it worked great until recently when it decided to not stop filling the bowl and overflow with water all over my kitchen floor. I will be returning this item.
It's okay now but water-flow is a little too strong. Took my cats some time to go near it. They had a "bubbler" before but it had not filter. I feel better knowing their water is filtered but wish it was a little less powerful. I haven't actually seen either one drink but there are wet paw prints... so that's a sign they use it.
Construction seems sturdy enough. Set-up and filter system are simple. It is just what I was looking for, but the pump doesn't run right out of the box. Followed the directions to a T, no good. I tried to contact the company, but they are only opened M-F. Plan on returning it. I think it would be great if it worked.
