Bought this for my nephew 2 years old. He Loves it and we enjoy watching him be a part of the band. He busted the drums after a month. But, the enjoyment he and we all had watching him play is PRICELESS. He can follow beats and make his own beats now at 2 1/2 years old. will be buying SEVERAL MORE!!!
I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY SON ON HIS 2ND BIRTHDAY. HE LOVES IT. IT IS THE ONLY TOY HE WANTS TO PLAY WITH NOW. ITS NOT AS LOUD AS I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE. ITS PERFECT!! I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS TO A FRIEND. ITS SO FUN.
My 3 year old son absolutely loved this drum set. Its age appropriate and I would definitely recommend this drum set to other young kids ranging in ages 3-5 years old. Very easy to assemble however, no directions had to look at the box and figure it out myself. Once put together my son was jamming a way at the drums. He was able to use the foot thump as well. I truly love this Drumset especially for the price you can't go wrong!!!
My twin sons - 18 months old - just received this from a family friend for Christmas. Amazed and concerned that it lacked directions, we eventually were able to use the picture on the box to get all the pieces put together. That said, I am actually impressed with this toy. I was sure the boys would destroy it within minutes, however, that was not the case. The cymbal is really the main draw for the boys but the idea that the two plastic drum sticks help them make interesting beats on each of the snare drums and the cymbal is priceless to watch. My sons have each had a blast sitting down at the included stool and beat on each part. I won't lie - the kick mallet (?) that comes with the large drum is lost on my sons and it is very easy to knock the entire set over (though your child can easily pick it back up too). BUT... The greatest thing is watching the boys eventually get how the whole thing works and are enjoying playing with it. So my point is that the negative review from the parent of the 4 yr old should be "taken with a grain of salt" - I think this toy is best for 1 yr old and up to possibly 3 yrs. BTW - they also received the matching electric guitar and microphone pair which seems like a perfect purchase combo.
This set cost me $15 - I didn't buy it expecting it to sound like a $300 drum set! I bought it for my 3 year old and I love it. It's not very loud, it's not that annoying ;) and it's perfect for him. I notice that the piece that holds the cymbal on does pop off easily (the top piece) when my son is going to town on it. So it may not be appropriate for a child any younger if they like to put small things in their mouths. We don't have to worry about that problem. Also the stool is TINY so I don't see this being great for kids much older than 4, maybe 5. And there are absolutely no instructions, although assembly is pretty simple! I think the quality for the price is fair enough, and I would recommend this to a friend!
This product was really a piece of junk. I bought it for my 18 month old son for Christmas and it just started to come apart or tore up piece by piece about 3 weeks later. The foot pedal never stayed on and the snare and cymbal just kept coming off. I would not recommend this drum set because it's not durable.
lucky u even get two stars. There was two pieces missing, that was suppose to hold the two side drums. Now my son will have an unfinished drum set for Easter. very unpleased!
My son received this as a Christmas gift. He was so excited to open and play with it but when we did the large drum was cracked and the plastic that makes sound was shredded! Had to return it and our closest store didn't have it in stock. Currently looking for another store that has it in stock. Hopefully the next one we get is better quality - my son will be devastated if he doesn't get to play with it!
This product was not worth the money it cost. I bought this for my 4 yr old son. The drum set never stayed assembled, it kept coming apart. The set never once set up straight would continuely fall over. This product is to good to be true! I eventually threw this product away and wish I never bought it.
He was very careful with it, but from loving the cymbal the most, which fell off a lot, it would no longer stay on the little wire, I used a zip-tie to fasten it to it until I found a used first act discovery drum set, which is amazing even 2 years old and played by many 5-9 year olds. That one is worth the money, this is fun for maybe 2 months with no real drum sounds.
